The part at the end where 5 seconds after freak-out boy leaves the room, the brother comes back in (having been absent the entire "freak-out") and says "lolomglol did you see that?", seemed fake too.

Yea, even if you consider the tantrum itself convincing, the video camera kid was rather contrived to me. The timing was too obvious.
