Hmmmm....this is not as easy a question to answer as the boobies one.
There is so much more to the penis than just the length. Its how its used, its shape, curvature...the body its attached to...lol.
Making love to a man with a member on the smaller side of average, if he is knowledgable and passionate and there is real chemistry (physically and emotionally)....its so much better than a guy who is not so great but has a larger, wider member.
If I absolutely HAD to answer the question though, I would say that about 6-7 inches and average girth with a slight upwards curvature is nice. (I've had bigger, and let me tell you, chronic blunt force trauma to your ovaries causes serious damage, not to mention the pain....)

I wouldn't say that women are too insecure to talk about penis size...I'd say it has more to do with: 1) It's not a lady-like topic of conversation and/or 2) For a woman, size preference is not always easy to define....how the man AND his member fit that particular woman is more important.
Also...since there are only a handful of ladies here, you're not very likely to get many replies.
We can all discuss boobie preference, but the guys aren't likely to desire to contribute to this conversation.

I'm not a woman, but probably the most logical insight I have heard is that the average penis size (4-7in long x 4-5in in girth) is average due to selective breeding. In other words, its the average size because long ago our female ancestors mated with (and more importantly, continued to mate with) males who had this size.

Some other things: the average vaginal depth (un-aroused) is only 3 inches. Aroused only about 4. The most sensation is only about 2 inches inside. So anything beyond that is gravy.

Also, many guys feel down when they hear all these women say they want guys who are like 7.5-8 inches plus. But keep in mind, when women get together and talk about these things, it's like the male equivalent of locker room talk. Much bragging and exaggeration comes into play.

Also, as LK already pointed out, larger penises can hurt a woman. I would suspect a skilled lover of any size would trump an unskilled lover of larger size anyday. But it all comes down to personal preference.

I guess the simple fact of the matter is that everyone wants better than average, no matter what it is (boob size, dick size, physical attraction, personality) and most of the people just get left behind and have to settle for something they don't like. I guess that's life. Lame.

I don't really know exact inches. But I measured my hand and my ex was about 6-7 inches and girth 5 maybe? Fingers didn't touch.

Girls at work have talked about small penis before and they said that they couldn't feel it at all..didn't clarify that with a size though. So, I'm guessing that it is an individual thing. What feels good in one woman might not feel good in another.

I didn't find the breast thread offensive. With that being said..I have found things offensive and posted as such. I find it more offensive to read posts saying all women are lying whores. The breast thread is merely a question asking for preference. Doesn't use offensive words describing women.

So going back to your 4 inches example -- if it was 4-in, but say 5.5-6 inches in girth, that would seem perfectly able to please to me (again, considering that the average vagina is only 4 inches deep when aroused anyway). Then again, I am not a woman and thus not equipped appropriately, so I can't say for certain.

As for skinny, I would think a penis that's like 7+ inches long but only a couple inches in girth (i.e. the "pencil dick") would not be pleasing at all, going back to the whole, length isn't everything.



Kirra, you are correct -- it's a matter of proportions. I will say this, however -- you either have to have an extremely stretched vagina, or have to be a freakin' Amazon (or like a female blue kitty from that Avatar movie) to have 7-in be too small LOL. I also think that men and women don't measure properly.

Every woman I've talked to has pretty much said 4 inches is too small and 8 is too big, average is nice and would sometimes prefer a smaller than average guy so it can be harder and faster with less pain....so 5-7, I suppose, and thicker is better. I was just wondering if there were any women with an opinion that differed from this...but again, this is apparently the wrong place to ask, if there is even a place, haha...which kind of proves my point about these type of threads. I'm totally light hearted about this topic and just created the thread out of pure [morbid] curiosity (for preference and if these topics offend) and was met with the same animosity I was originally accused with.

And while there is no real harm in inquiring about preferences, I think no one of either sex should ever mock someone for having "non-preferential" or "below average" sexual characteristics. What people don't realize is that those remarks leave lasting scars.

Lol it's pretty true and also "above average" sucks too....women with back aches and guys who find it too freakishly weird.....and men that most women are afraid of because they're too big. So yeah, it would suck to not be in the "average" range, either way. It's just a bell curve with everything. I just think that people get offended either way when they hear the truth and when people want to talk about why they get even more offended and these threads are usually just for fun, or contain ignorance, or turn into a shitstorm like this one has because I brought up a few details, or get ignored, like I probably should have. Hmm Rodahn..I think multiple child births might play a factor in the size aspect also. It stretches and goes back, but that only works so many times. And I have heard of women not being as "satisfied" as they were with their husbands before the multiple births. There are many factors and that is why I posed the comment that exact inches are not really that relevant.

Agreed, Nev. So many people (a sad amount actually) let arbitrary numbers rule their lives -- the size of their sexual characteristics; the size of their vehicles; the size of their bank accounts; the size waist lines. They are just arbitrary numbers that in no way define who a person really is.

It makes me wonder , though, if there's another biological reason for this....the genes have already been combined, so if the woman cannot be satisfied she must find a new mate with a larger member. I dunno, though. What came first? The chicken, or the egg?

They have a surgery to apparently make women feel tighter, but I don't really know anything about it other than that it exists. I know that penis enlargement surgery does exist but the side effects (loss of hardness / sensitivity / among others) make it pretty pointless.
