Sunday night, we hit a Major Storm in Sioux City. Wind and rain do not do good things to motorcycling conditions. My clothing was generally soaked, including my gloves. So I leave my gloves off for the ride from Sioux City to Keystone, yes?

my hands are now sunburned and I did silly things like pull the blister off the skin. Glad we're not planning on going out more today.

(Edited to correct day. Sunday is usually Home to Valentine, Monday is usually Valentine to Keystone.)

Can't make you feel any worse than you are already making yourself feel.

Cool water with some aloe in it. Soak the hands. Let the world take care of itself for a few hours, you're on break.

Disinfectant when you take the hands out.

Silvadene Cream is your best friend. Get some from Walmart.

Soak your hands in brine to toughen them up.

Since everyone else is recommending solutions, here's one: O'Keefe's Working Hands. You can pick it up at Lowe's and it seals what little moisture is left in the hands and helps them heal.

We'll keep these in mind. First I'm going to cover the wound, then we're headed to Walgreen's on today's ride.
