Silly Libs, it did not work at the crash the tea party attempts, and all it does is give cover to any real nut jobs, infact the worse racist nut job and now just be laughed off as a liberal plant :).

Not so much as dirty tricks as just poor behavior.

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/20 ... ore-117624

Quote:
(CNN) - A New Hampshire state legislator resigned his office Thursday after becoming the second Democrat in as many days to speculate about Sarah Palin's death on Facebook.

State Rep. Timothy Horrigan made the remarks Wednesday night in a thread discussing the Alaska plane crash that killed former Sen. Ted Stevens.

"Well a dead Palin wd be even more dangerous than a live one...she is all about her myth & if she was dead she cldn't commit any more gaffes," Horrigan wrote.

Horrigan was commenting on another post by a Democrat running for the state house, party activist Keith David Halloran, who found himself in hot water Wednesday after writing about the crash: "Just wish Sarah and Levy [sic] were on board."

After the controversy quickly gained steam Thursday, Horrigan sent a letter to the Speaker of the New Hampshire House offering his resignation.

"I apologize for thoughtless remarks I made which have brought this House into disrepute," Horrigan wrote. "I enjoyed my time in the House and I thank you personally for your support over the years."

Ryan Williams, a spokesman for the New Hampshire Republican Party, said Democrats in his state have "a widespread fixation" with Palin's death.

"Instead of discussing their failed economic policies, New Hampshire Democrats are now spending their time openly discussing Governor Sarah Palin's death," Williams said in a statement. "Rep. Horrigan's comments are sick, twisted and disgusting, and they must be immediately denounced by Governor John Lynch and Rep. Carol Shea-Porter.

There is just something about Palin that drives lib's wild. The out right hate she inspires is frankly amazing. I don't like her or care for her one way or another, and will probably not vote for her for president, but for the folks of understanding..

The party activist's comments were offensive. Horrigan's comments were fine. He was commenting. He didn't even wish anyone ill.

Stupid story.

She's female. That's pretty much all there is to it. She represented the Republicans moving in on their territory.

No, I'm pretty sure there's more to disliking Palin than her gender/party combination. A lot more.

I have seen a few Feminists declare she can not possibly be a conservative feminist. So apparently Marxism and vagina's go together, which is a great selling point.

When I've seen it being sold, I couldn't tell if Marxism came with the deal or not.

What do I dislike about Palin? Hmm. Aside from her rancid exclusionary identity politics, her mean-spiritedness, her attention-whoring, her passive-aggressiveness, her drama queening, her hypocrisy, her myopic views, her fight-picking, her victim-carding, and her simplistic and trite political stances, nothing. I think she's a grand ol' gal.

Hmmm, change out the pronouns, and you'd have our current Pres.

Not really. Pretty much every other cricticism is either A) a cricticism of Tina Fey's characterization of her or B) some sort of bizarre exaggeration or fabrication; the most prominent being her alledged desire to make the U.S. into a Theocracy.

I don't think she's all that great, and there are plenty of legitimate cricticisms that could be made, but I have yet to see anyone voice them.

In other words, nothing but vague allegations of general badness that no one could really discuss or refute because they could mean almost anything. Got it. Screeling asked you what you specifically don't like about her, and all your complaints seem to amount to a reiteration of the fact that you don't like her, or maybe because she's a fairly normal politician in all those regards. Disliking her because she's a politician doesn't exactly tell us anything specific either.

That's because they all get hand-waved away by attributing them to either "a criticism of Tina Fey's characterization of her" or "some sort of bizarre exaggeration or fabrication." It's the perfect shield to dismiss any criticism of her, by claiming that it's not pertinent to her, despite the fact that they have nothing to do with either of your points. Like this:

Since every one of your listed complaints amounted to.. well notihng but a reiteration of the fact that you don't like her, I don't see how that addresses my point at all.

No, handwaving is what you're doing. You haven't listed a single actual reason other than just your subjective impressions of her. If that's why you dislike her fine, but those aren't "plenty of reasons to dislike her"; those are your personal reasons.

What exactly, for example, is her "attention-whoring"? What exactly is her "fight-picking"? You didn't cite a single example.

Sorry, but "handwaving" does not mean "pointing out that what you said doensn't make your reasons one bit clearer."

How is she any more of an attention whore than any other public figure?

So really, the big objection to her is the nature of the figures of speech she uses?
