For one thing, the fact that a post is insult-laden and shit-slinging has nothing to do with whether it's well-reasoned and fact-supported. When the posters who post well start going down the slinging insults road, it's an indicator that the others are out of control, and a double standard. Why should some people be compelled to post well-reasoned arguments when a few get away with Wall of Ignorance and Argumentum Ad Nauseum endlessly? Why should they continue trying to be polite?

Like I pointed out in another thread, if I tell you it's dangerous to drink and drive, that point doesn't somehow become invalid becaue I called you an ******* in the process. If I've explained to you 10 times that its dangerous complete with statistics and possible legal penalties, and you keep saying "no, it's not!" and I finally go off on you because you're choosing to ignore what I'm saying, it's your own fault. Acting like it's all shocking when someone runs out of patience with an imbicile is absurd.

Maybe it's just me or the medium provided but when I talk to people offline I don't lose my temper, throw in insults or demean/belittle people because *I'm* right. That would quickly make me a pariah and to a large extent we have seen that same outcome here on the forums. When certain posters make certain posts a good portion of the community ignores them. However, others choose to drop into the mud and scream, holler and cajole them for 11 days and 18+ pages under what I presume is the expectation that they can "enlighten", "educate" and otherwise correct them. There is no meaningful discourse in this thread, there is no meeting of the minds. There are spoiled children (on all sides) screaming at each other with flecks of foam coming out of their mouths.

With that said, do I contribute to this atmosphere? Definitely, but I would hope to a much lesser extent and will walk away if I am wrong or if it becomes clear that neither side will budge.

And just because I can LOL... so out of all the ranting that Khross did about the behavior of TheRiov... the only rebuttal he can come up with is that he did not admit to sticking his wang into an under age girl, he just alluded to it.
