So, living in Las Vegas, there's no real option for pro football. I got handed a couple of tickets to go see the Las Vegas Loco(motive)s and the California Redwoods in the opening game in the UFL.

They have pros playing (JP Losman, BJ Sams, DD Dorsey, Josh Scobey, etc.) Jim Fassel is the coach of the Locos, and Denny Green the coach of the Redwoods.

NFL Rules, (except for no intentional grounding, and each team will get a posession in OT(!!!)). Yes, its not the NFL, but it was still a blast to go to and watch real football being played :)

I'm gonna go again on wednesday to watch the Locos play the Tuskers :) Should be a good time.

I watched a bit of this game on Spike. It appears to be much like the old NFL Europe but with games played in time zones where we'll watch them. I don't think it is officially a development league for the NFL but I wouldn't be surprised to see it used that way.

I looked at the UFL website and discovered it's a four team league. That should make for some serious rivalries and nasty football.

Grats on scoring tickets!

I would <3 it to be like a development league for the NFL.

We already have a AAA baseball team :)

The game was entertaining. They need to do something about the uniforms though. They looked way to similar.

That's by design I think.

They weren't *that* similar. Grey tops vs white tops wigh green shoulders.

Between the 3rd and 4th quarter, the Commisioner came out and thanked us all for coming, and he said that on Wed, every seat in the house will be 10 bucks. Just got my tix for Wed... I'll be on Row 3 at about the 45 yard line.

For 50 bucks.

So. Awesome.

Also, it looks like they have last night's game up on the website for streaming watching.
