Aizle, refusing to debate because of "deep philosophical differences" means you lose the debate. You can't even discuss basic reasons for why you think Obama deserves it.

I did not report Monte. I'm a moderator. I was responding to someone else's report, saying that there's nothing against the rules in Monte's post. If it had been a rules violation, I'd have given him a warning for it, not reported it. The Moderators are currently in discussion about this thread. Locked until we decide what to do about it...

Some of you may not like or agree with my response. Feel free to take it up with other moderators via PM.

I will accept questions such as "why did you do that?" or "how did you make that determination?" I WILL NOT accept, "That's not fair and you're a shitty mod" or similar. If I feel like you're pushing the line between asking questions and retorting, I'll forward the PM to another Mod and inform you that I'm finished discussing the issue.



I have 3 warnings for flaming and 2 for vigilante moderation/public critique of moderatory action. If you don't know what for, I will tell you in private.

Some of these are formal, some are not. I don't know if the board notifies you when I do a formal warning, so if there is ANY doubt whatsoever as to whether a warning is formal, feel free to ask me for clarification on that as well.
