Yeah, I figure his choices were 'develop a sense of humor about everything' or 'drink himself to death'. I'm very glad he chose the former.

He played a serial killer on Criminal Minds last season, quite scary one, too.

I've never forgiven the universe for Wesley Crusher or Jar Jar Binks.

Or any whiny emo that played Anakin Skywalker.

And, no, Han did NOT shoot first!

See, there's another reason why Wheaton is cool.

He hasn't forgiven the universe for the abomination named Wesley Crusher, either. He's in complete agreement with Wesley's detractors!

While living off royalties garnered from the subject of the detractors' ire...

Just a reminder to trekkies - There is one and only one person in all of Trek lore who epitomizes and defines Starfleet and, in essence, Roddenberry's vision of humanity in the future. And that, my friends, is Wesley Crusher.

Oooooh..... trekkies hate it so much when I point that out. I love it!

Hey.. I think it's to his credit that he can laugh at himself. I've found his work on Big Bang Theory, almost all of which was very tastefully self-deprecating, to be outstandingly fun.

Yeah. So few "child actors" of the 80's made it out of their twenties in-tact. Extreme kudos to him.

Correct. To say he shot "first" implies that there was a "second" shot. Han vs Greedo was a 2-hit wonder: Han's shot hitting Greedo and Greedo's internal organs hitting the wall of the cantina :D

Here it is, in slow motion for the doubters...Han even flinches from the first shot! Reflexes like lightening, that boy...

I rest my case. ;)

Even FlatFace agrees with me!

I would just like you all to know that I am related to Wil Wheaton by marriage. My father's first cousin is married to Wil Wheaton's second or third cousin. I don't know the exact relation. But there you have it.

See, I happen to know for a fact that the footage you showed was doctored by a ... a techno-droid under orders from the Hutt cartel.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

With regards to the OP - I'd seen the "Wil quits W00tstock" bit, but hadn't seen the fan mail. Great stuff, there!

Wil will be at PAX this year, for the Wil Wheaton Awesome Hour. He also played on the Penny-Arcade D&D podcasts, which are pretty amusing.
