Protoss player kills the last two buildings basically at the same time and his zealot dies to broodlings. Zerg player used his drone to make an extractor(had 29 minerals, only cost 25 for zerg). Protoss guy cant believe it. Epic win.

ugh. spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my license key wouldn't work for this thing. >thwacks self< Stupid g in "Wings" made the first character look like an A instead of a H. Must have tried about 10 variants and checked 5 forums before I realized what I was doing.

I got sloppy against a Protoss player after winning 3 or 4 games in a row. :( I missed the probe sneaking into my base while I was harassing his base with a Reaper. 10 minutes of dealing with his photo cannon army later before I can resume full swing of things and he's massed a huge void ray army. :(

I did however get a nuke achievement for destroying so many units in one hit while trying my best to fight them off.

Right now I'm having trouble beating Terran on Scrap Station. Most other maps, even the maps that HEAVILY favor Siege Mech, Scrap Station gives me fits.

Baneling Bust is entirely too easy to stop. +1 Marauders and Reavers stop Banelings dead. And while +1 or +2 Speedlings are awesome, Macro Roach/Hydra transitions better for the long games.

Yeah, when I go banelings, I don't plan on having the game last very long. If it doesn't work, I'm pretty boned.

How about beefing up on the defensive structures?

Had another two games, both TvT. Annoyingly enough both of them quit mid game just as I was getting the upper hand.

Note to self - The more I scout & harass their workers, the better I do.

The mineral cost on Spine Crawlers is prohibitive; and they're generally ineffective against Terran units.

Crawlers have their uses. They can help protect against reapers at the beginning. It's never a good idea to rely on defensive structures. Even ones that can get up and move. Don't forget to be creeping up as well, the added movement is important to the zerg.

Don't forget neural parasite on thors. Honestly, I'm pretty sure lings would kill them, but it's going to depend on their unit composition. There are a variety of factors that dictate how you should respond. Post a replay and it's easier to make suggestions.
There are ways to respond to thors. :ugeek:

Speedlings with a good surround devastate Thors. Roaches can tank Thors for Hydras. Mutas can beat up Thors if you spread them out. And Brood Lords just flat out own them. The problem isn't countering the Thors so much as it's just really difficult to deal with the following build:

9 Rax
10 Gas
11 Rax
12 Gas
14 Factory
15 Orbital Command
16 Factory
18 Armory
20 Thor

My Zerg build is pretty standard

13 Pool
13 Gas
14 Lair
15 Hatch
15 Gas
16 Roach

If I scout the Early Armory, I might skip the Fast Expand, drop an Evo Chamber and go +1 Damage. I might even throw up a Baneling nest.

The problem is that it's usually an 8 Marine, 4 Marauder, 2 Thor, 2 Siege Push around 25 or 26 supply.

And crawlers attack too slow for Reapers unfortunately.

It sounds like the problem isn't the Thors so much as all the other **** pounding you while the Thors take damage.
