Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate(tm) (from the Monkey Island series)

or

Roger Wilco (from the Space Quest series)

I'd be inclined to pick Roger, but it's really hard to be cool with your hand that far in your pocket....

Aren't they both kinda dumb with a penchant for getting kicked around?

Guybrush can hold his breath for 10 minutes.

Yes, but that's kinda their charm (IMO at least). They use their wits to solve puzzles sometimes, and others they kinda stumble through things and get lucky. If you play through each of their respective series, you'll see what makes them both lovable buffoons.

I don't know.... blowing up an entire space station with nothing but Space Monkeys is kind of tough to beat. That, and.... Space Quest X - The Latex Babes of Estros.

But, Guybrush is kind of pirate-like. In that he has things resembles things a pirate would wear and use. That does raise him up a bit.

Guybrush did defeat a demonic ghost pirate like . . . 7 times, tho. Monkeys were involved there as well.

An entire island of monkeys, even.

Guybrush is also known to the inhabitants of Plunder Island as the horrifying "el Pollo Diablo!"

He has also held his own on several occasions against Murray! Murray is a powerful demonic force! He is the harbinger of your doom! And the forces of darkness will applaud him as he strides through the Gates of Hell carrying your head on a pike!
