I presume you mean Subsilver, which means no, it's not visible in the skin the Glade was meant to be viewed in. :p

This is not Marvel Comics. Subsilver is the suck.

Subsilver2 is the only truly viewable, usable theme on the glade right now. The rest are all wrong.

AeroblueX for the win. It owns all of your other themes.

I preferred the "X-Men" theme on the original Rebooted to any others vie used (naturally). AeroBlueX is my favorite of the current crop. The others are too...bright, and the original green theme of the Glade was always too...green for me. :)

AeroBlueX isn't terrible, I suppose. Too high contrast for my tastes, though. I don't like the dark blue-grey bars.

Subsilver2 is the most subtle of the themes, least likely to draw attention from people walking by a desk at work.

Subsilver2. It's the least noticeable when someone walks by my desk.

Glade Theme not only draws attention to my monitor when it's up, but it inspires comments from web developers like, "Ugh! Who chose those colors? That's the ugliest web site I've ever seen!"

Sunmoon did it!

That's another reason I don't like the glade theme. It reminds me of Sunmoon and I hated that ******* with a passion. Anything I can directly link to him makes me angry.

Sunmoon was a tool, but I never understood all the hate that dude got. I mean, yeah, he sold the original TRG but big deal. I'm sure most of us would have done the same.

I don't even necessarily agree with the tool thing. At the time we had a much higher user volume and member base (which means higher bandwidth) so selling out might have been a financial necessity.

I think the folks that helped out with the cash drives were the most pissed, they felt they had an investment in the site and resented the sell-out.

I'd have sold out though, were I the owner of the site. As far as I was able to tell, the contributions just barely covered operating costs, IF they covered them at all.

Mippo was the tool.

I don't blame him for selling the site. We got to move away from there anyway. I just mean the guy(in general) was a douche bag.

Weren't ya'll like really mad cuz you gave him a bunch of money and he bought a ring or something with it instead of putting it into the site?

He was just a spaz, and was unpredictable.

I remember I got banned for 30 days because said something like "I don't understand why you are coming down so hard on so-and-so."

I then sent an email or something saying "I don't understand why I got banned." and got banned for an additional 2 months.

He was a nut.

Naw - that fund was completely devoted to his ring. He started a whole separate thread for it. I did find that to be rather lame. It's not like somebody started it for him to help a brotha out. He just sp'anged off his own community. That's why I thought the guy was a tool.

Oh ok.
I used to be a denizen of a board for a couple of years that I really liked....until the owner came down to a choice between paying his bill for the site or paying for his methadone. Guess what he chose? I hear the site's back up, but I like it here much better. :)

I didn't begrudge Sunmoon for anything he did. He was up front about all of it and made no attempt to be deceitful.

His problem was he wasn't the most subtle, and as someone mentioned, he could be inconsistent.

But my appreciation for the site, and the effort he put into hosting and managing it overshadowed any negative sentiment I might have had for him.

Edit: And the original Glade site was far away a better, more Ranger friendly site (especially for those of us who were not 'uber' in any way) than the 'EQ Outrider' site ended up being. For my money, the management of EQ Outride were/are only interested in the high end game, and most of the members there seem to actively discourage newness...

Really? I find EQoutrider one of the most newbie friendly sites around.

Half of the mods are raiders, half of them aren't. And of those of us that founded it, it was pretty evenly split between raiders and casuals.

If you want to see newbie unfriendly, check out EGN.

I thought Sunmoon was pretty awesome all around. He did a good job with what he had.

My beefs with Sunmoon were:

1) He let Arkus's worthless *** hang around entirely too long before the banhammer finally got dropped
2) He didn't come down hard enough on that small crowd of monks that showed up to troll about how Rangers were overpowered after the monk nerf. Bad move by Sony? No problem! Nerf Rangers!!

I used to enjoy tweaking the monk's that came around the old site and eventually they succumbed to the awesomeness that was rangers and became at the least interesting members of the community.
