But it is what it is.

I remember quite a lot of defense of democrats from you about their filibustering. I guess that's been forgotten now that your party is the majority...

The democrats have ZERO excuses now. They control everything except the court by a wide margin. No more ***** from them, no more whining. Get your work done or prepare to get your *** kicked by the electorate. If the Democrats try and suggest that the only way they can get anything done is if they have an even wider majority, then they'll be laughed out of Washington for the incompetent fools they are. They don't need wider majorities, they need better ideas.

The only thing the Republicans were indignant about being filibustered was Supreme Court nominations.

Personally, I think Obama is doing a great job at setting the stage for the Tribulation and Armegeddon.

Why invoke that Primal Powers of the Universe to a task when a hammer suffices?

I'm not invoking anything. I'm pointing out that some of the things Obama is wanting to do fit in setting the stage. It's pretty clear that the USA is not going to be a defender of Israel at that time, and we're headed that direction with Obama at the helm.

I for one think that Obama is the first president that has had the right balance with Israel. We have been far too blind to Israel's shortcomings over the years.

Note, I'm not saying Palestine is some perfect organization. They aren't by a long shot. However, both sides need to be held accountable, not just one.

You still are. I'll give you a hint. It involves one of the more important documents of our country.

Obama is bringing about the End Times? Really?

I don't have a problem with the filibuster. I Have a problem with a party filibustering every single solitary piece of legislation. The filibuster is a good thing. Abused, it becomes a means of denying the will of the American people. Where is the bright line? That's harder to find, I think. However, I think it's pretty clear that the hundreds and hundreds of pieces of legislation the Republican party has filibustered is just out of hand. Especially given their previous whining when they were in the majority.

If they were a little more consistent, they wouldn't be doing so poorly in elections, I think. I'm amazed anyone buys into their party any more, to be honest. It used to be tantamount to treason to criticze the President in a time of war, and now it's patriotic.

Obama's primary accomplishment looks like it will be presiding over the economic collapse of the American empire. I'm not saying that that is Obama's fault, there's nothing he could have done to stop the fall at this point...even if he did continue on the same suicidal path as his predecessors.

Who knows? The "first black president" could be the "last American president." (In reality, the collapse will probably be slow and prolonged, but it's going to happen, just the same.)

The collapse of the American empire might lead to 6 simultaneous presidents... (think of the collapse of the Roman empire or Papal empire)

edit:

I bet Montana already has a few people who think they are President...

Perhaps we can find Norton II, Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico?

That's not what I said. Only God can (and will) bring about the Tribulation. Obama is just helping set the stage, just as Babylonian expansionism set the stage for God judging Israel. God used Babylon to judge Israel. The decline of America, in terms of military might and economic ability to militarily defend Israel, is one part of the conditions that bring about Armageddon.

Is America there yet? Nope, but the stage is being set, and Obama may be the tool in the hand of God. Consider:

1) Massive debt
2) Weapon procurement cancellations
3) Possible (even likely) reductions in military personnel as DADT gets tossed. (No link, but I've seen articles quoting polls that say possibly as many as 25% of active military men won't re-up if homosexuals are allowed to openly serve.)

This, and more, all point in a certain direction: weakness militarily, and weakness economically. YMMV, but Christ tells us that life will appear normal, right up to the time. As Scripture says, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

No no, I saw that episode and it was pretty much Uhura's fault.

End of the Greenback, that's for sure. Thank the moron who hired Ben Bernanke (and replacing Volker with Greenspan, thank Regaen too) and thank the current idiot who is leaving him there.

Oh, I don't know, I'd say it's been in the works much, much longer.

Well, the demise of the Dollar specifically probably started with programs like FDIC and Social Security and really picked up steam in 1954 with the Bretton Woods Systems and ultimately was seriously futt-bucked by Nixon in '73.

It started with the Federal Reserve Act.

I don't believe so. Remember the Federal Reserve as initially conceived is not the one we know today. It was inacted in way that was Constitutional.

I wouldn't say it was the start anymore than the phrase "Interstate Commerce" in Article I Section 8 is responsible for half the junk we have today.
