I only see two things offhand: one, it doesn't seem to want to keep me logged in. Also, Quick Reply seems to be missing.

If you have issues with staying logged in, try deleting your cookies.

I'll look at the quick reply thing.

There shouldn't be anything special about the quick reply field that would cause it to have issues with highlighting. Do you get the same error in any other fields? Such as the main reply field.

Nope. just quick reply. The Same issue in Firefox and IE on several PCs. It STARTS to highlight, but only gets maybe half a line or sometimes 2 before its like the mouse-click is interrupted. IE Reports an error on page I wonder if there is some looped script that is interrupting.

I can use Shift-Arrows to highlight text just fine, but leftclick-drag doesnt work for more than a few characters.

I can also highlight any other text on the page, but just the Quick Reply field is affected

Hmm, I don't see any issues. Must be a javascript error of some sort. I'll need to look into it.

FYI the error message only appears once I click in the Quick Reply Field

"Line: 1315
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: http://gladerebooted.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4037"

I was getting that quick reply select text problem you're talking about on the old server too TheRiov, I don't think it's this server's issue.

Can you try to reproduce the problem with either subsilver2 or prosilver styles? It may be an issue with one of the custom styles being out of date.

I have used subsilver2 forever I think. This quick replay, however does not seem to have an issue selecting text with a mouse. I'll try again from home a lot later on to see if it's PC centric.

Tested with prosilve and Subsilver 2, along with Glade which I usually use. Problem exists in all 3

I just tried it with SubSilver2 and I can't replicate the problem.... Text highlights fine for me.

Ok, so I just tried in IE8- and I'm having the same problem as TheRiov.

So it's something IE specific.

I think I can reproduce it at home. I get the "Error on page" thing at the bottom of the IE window, and I get the mouse highlight problem. I don't see the error popup when I click on the field though.

But this gives us a little more to work on.

Code:
<textarea name="message" id="message" rows="5" cols="40" tabindex="3" onselect="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);" onkeyup="storeCaret(this);" class="inputbox"></textarea>

This seems to be the offending line.

Try deleting the javascript functions as well as the three attributes they're applied to. onselect, onclick, onkeyup.
