Ico and Shadow of the Colossus were the two most overrated games ever.

Funny you should mention this, because . . .

ICO + SotC collection coming to PS3.

Get the **** outta here. SotC was one of the best games of the PS2 era.

Ico was okay, but it wasn't something I'd pick up for more than $10.

Shadow.. meh. Haven't played it, not particularly interested.

The best part of Shadow of the Colossus was watching someone else play. Sure it looked pretty, but I can get the same gameplay experience riding around on the horse in a Zelda game. You ride around on a horse looking for lizards, and occasionally you climb ****.

SotC was... weird, to me. I really liked having played the game, but I felt at the time, and definitely when I just tried to replay it a month or four back, that the game gets tedious. Many of the Colossi are totally badass, but the gameplay at its core became so very repetitive. So you'd see the next awesome Colossus and it would simply be figuring out the puzzle, generally the path to take up/along the Colossus, and repeating until dead. There didn't even tend to be that huge a difference in killing many Colossi.

It was a great experience and all, and I'm sure I'll go back to the game again at some point in the future if only to fell a couple of the bosses. The visuals are great, the controls are so deep (though sadly often wasted), the story has a great ambiance to it. Unless there's another game out there I'm not aware of, having a 3 story tall metal club swung at you by a 10 story tall Colossus is a unique gaming experience. But with a few exceptions, I felt it was basically just the same thing over and over again.

...which is weird, coming from a WoW raider, but it's different somehow! :p

Looking forward to seeing more about this game. If nothing else, I've been much much happier with this company's releases than seeing another Badass Space Marine or WW2 Again game.

You can put me in the "SotC was badass" camp.

I never played Ico, so I'm looking forward to the PS3 high-def revamp to get both.

I couldn't agree more. They looked nice, sure...but they were pretty mediocre other than that.

I liked Ico, didn't get too far, but I really like it.

Shadow of the Colossus is simply EPIC, and I can't wait for The Last Guardian.

I will definitely pick up the HD remasters of these games along with the HD God of War ports.
