These to be exact.

I custom configured the colors and stuff (They're blue and grey and black. Pretty cool), and Nike said they'd take about 4 weeks to get to me. Ordered them on the 3rd, and they shipped yesterday.

From China.

And they're going the wrong way.

I'm just curious as to why they have to go to Korea first. I mean they've traveled some 2500km, and they're further away from the US than when they started.

Damn..don't get me wrong, I love the barefoot / natural running approach to shoes, but they just don't have the protection I want. I like my flat soled skate shoes. Hard, vulcanized rubber soles with nicely cushioned suede uppers.

Personally, I'd rather be completely barefoot. Unfortunately, you need shoes to go inside anywhere these days, so these are the next best thing.

They're a half a size too small, and they're not great for treadmill use. I went back to my Nike Air Turbulence for a bit, and tried on a pair of the frees in the store and loved em.

Well, they're in the states now.

Yeah, they're comfy, fit like gloves. Ride's a little firm, but I expect that's cause they're new.

Those look great!

I might have to try a pair on. I'm in the market for a lightweight workout shoe. That might just fit the bill, especially if it has a stiff sole as you mentioned.

The sole's not *supposed* to be stiff. It's constructed in such a way as to mimic being barefoot. It's just a bit firm cause I haven't broken them in yet :)

I also have a pair of these:
http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?sitesrc ... gid-315681

They're really light, and just as comfy as the Nike Frees. The soles are stiffer, but the cushioning is just as good.

But I've only had em a week or so, and I've had the Frees a day. I think the Frees are going to be my every day goin to work shoes, and the Glides are gonna be the treadmill shoes.
