Quote of the day "I can do whatever I want" from the cop to the reporter when told he cannot arrest a journalist for videotaping on public property.

I'd like to see something from a source other than the employer of the reporter in question.. but then again, it's Newark. I doubt the police are any better than anything else there.

Welcome to Newark!

There was just recently some dust up with the Newark police but I forget the details. Something about a few cops who continued to be on duty while having a lot of complaints against them pending. The Mayor defended the cops but I dont know what became of it.

I like Jersey Cops, I really do ...

Like the one who called me in Georgia and made a few threats over the phone. He was a real peach; in fact, he was kind enough to leave his threats on a voice mail.

I see what you did there.

By the way, did anyone noticed that one of the witnesses was captioned as "Street Doctor"? :?

Now I'm curious as to why the cop was calling you.

Because an adult woman (38) left the state of New Jersey to visit me for a weekend without telling her parents, who are apparently of the histrionic type, and the cops of their particular town in New Jersey expedited a "missing persons" investigation. It was good times; good times.

Wow.

I swear sometimes I begin to think I had the only sane parents in the world. I just can't even fathom my parents doing something like this (much less even knowing about it unless I wanted them to).
