My PBP game seems to have petered out so I thought I'd create a real login and say 'hi' and see how yous are doing ("yous" is the Boston version of "y'all"). First off, Micheal, how are you and your daughter doing? You two have been on my prayer list for a long time. Has Coro graduated yet? What about RangerDave and Lex? Has Taamar opened up her own restaurant? Has Elmo gotten laid yet? (I kid.) What's the popular Glade game atm? Do Phe and FarSkee have kids? Not least importantly, how's Kaffis doing without Amdee?

I bought a condo in Boston last year and I'm doing OK despite the Yankers being World Champs. I've been trying to keep the computer from dominating my life and so I've fallen into the hacker/maker/geek world. Lately I've been teaching myself oxy-acetylene welding. I'm still pretty awful (you don't understand--*really* awful) but it's been fun and it gives me a perfect excuse to wear my wicked vintage steampunk welding goggles. I'm still a smug bastard but I'm working on it and hopefully I'm improving. (My S.O. just said I'm just as bad as always. Oh well.)

Hi Deeger, just happened to look in, I'm mostly taking a break right now.

My daughter and I are doing better, not wonderfully, but at least we are talking without getting upset with each other. She's going to a local Junior College, working at Fry's enjoying being the pretty geek gal she is. I'm helping a little with her bills, not a huge amount, but enough to let her know I care. Thank you for the prayers, they are appreciated.

I'll let the others answer for themselves, but its good to hear from you again.

If you're interested Deeger, there's a new Steampunk con starting up in March in Manchester NH...

Dash, you suck and I've officially written you out of my will. I hope you wallow in bitter disappointment.

I'm getting older. I know this because I now buy my ibuprofen in 500-count bottles. My gray hairs have switched from guerilla warfare to full bore blitzkrieg across my head. It sucks but the only alternative to growing older isn't too palatable either. It may have worked for James Dean and Lady Di but I'd hate to break the hearts of my legions of adoring female fans.

Micheal, I'm sorry to hear things could be better. I'll continue to pray but you can already tell that I don't have much pull with The Almighty on these matters. Sometimes things work themselves out.

Thanks for the link Crim. I may check it out. I'll repay you with a link to one of my favorite Steampunk sites, the http://steampunkworkshop.com/

Serienya, you may have picked a good time to be in Boston. Nobody has autumn weather quite like New England. Try to set aside some time for "leaf peeping".

No I haven't, but the end is in sight. I'm tutoring math and physics for the freshman and sophomore engineering students. Several of the professors both at the community college where I work and the college I'm taking classes at have been trying to convince me to do a Master's in either math or physics. My goals have changed slightly. I'm starting to consider that if I do go back for a graduate degree, I'm going for a doctorate and then making my brother get off his *** and get his CCIE. I dropped off several resumes this week at a number of local places. I'm hoping to hear back from Boeing. They were out in force last week recruiting mechanical and electrical engineers.
