To jump to 1.5, you have to do a pre-quest, that in some cases is more expensive than the 1.0 quest.

Personally, I enjoy most of the 1.0s- Shaman is quite fun other than a few drops, Druid/Ranger are fun, Rogue is very painful.... SK wasn't too bad.

Most can be duoed with a Merc other than 1 or 2 fights by 60.

most the 1.5/2.0 epics (and 2.5) were worth it still at 85. even if you had no better weapon the click effects were largely irreplacable. (except the ranger which got superceeded my one of our on-killshot-trigger spells-- but it was still VERY powerful when combined with the shaman 2.0 effect. (increased crit rate + Increased crit damage+Auspice=Massive DPS boost )

yea, the 1.5/2.0' are pretty far down the road (for me anyway).

I'd be happy to just get out of my tutorial quest breastplate (at level 56!). I'm kinda embarrased to leave the guild hall wearing gloomchain :p~

Aye. EC is one of the most useful items in the game, ever. I have a bandolier setup hotkeyed, and have since I got it.

Wylias never got an Earthcaller. Passed on the emerald once when offered because I hadn't even started, and there was a ranger present who had done 2 steps, or something. Never saw another drop dozens of Hate raids later, excepting the one where I was a guest at another guild's Hate raid and their second-most senior ranger claimed it.

I'm gong ahead with 1.0 because it honestly seems like less of a pain in the *** than the prequest what with the shortcut method on EGN. Got 3 drops for it so far; the key for the jail in the Hole, Ghoulbane, and the Drake Spine. With the level of gear available plus a merc now I expect to be able to solo most of it.

With the revamped hate its much easier, though the drop rate is abysmal.

That, and it looks awesome.

The only fights you'll need help for are Fear (Golems) and the last fight in CoM, I should think.

I never had a problem with "too hard" -- it was a drop rate thing. Though, I guess if you don't have to actually "raid" Hate anymore due to mudflation and revamps, it becomes more of a standard camp than visiting Hate a couple times a month and still having spotty drop rate.

I believe on Lenas I ended up finding a mage that I paid 5,000p to multi-quest it with me.

2 of my Bandolier slots have EC, and Aurora has a near permanent primary inventory slot, only getting swapped out for quick casts of other clicks.

Hey guys- sorry I haven't been on to catch up to you all recently.

I tweaked my left wrist pretty bad, and typing makes it worse- so I've been saving most of my typing for work related stuff.

Hopefully it'll be better and I'll be back on more in a week or so.

Sorry to hear about your wrist.

The Rogue and Druid are stopped at 20% into 60 and will be doing 100% AA for a *while*. There are lots of things I want to do at this level before moving on much further.

Got a Jade Reaver to drop in CoM the other night helping McDuff on his Shammy epic stuff, so I'll probably take some time to work on epics for both of them. I'd also like to go mow down some zones that kicked Midgens' *** the first time though the game.

I'm also going to teach the rogue poison making. Not sure about other trade skills. I've been tempted to make an INT caster alt to do research, but I haven't decided.

Thanks for all your help on the Epic stuff Midgen. I am also stopping at 60, and doing AAs. Being as I got on late last night I tried Bloodfields molo. It worked out pretty well and I was even able to take that cleric down.

I'm all for doing some of the zones I never did the first time around and I also think there's bazaar money in spell drops since there aren't that many out there right now. I did pick up torpor and malo in the bazaar but I have alot of holes in the spells book. Research might be a decent money maker, but I really know nothing about it and how hard it is to train up.

Keep an eye on the guild bank, there are a few caster items in there now, intricate cloth bracer I picked up last night, a couple of spells - Enc and Nec that Midgen and I got dropped in Skyfire and CoM.

Next time I'm on, I'll add to stacks. I knew somebody'd want to, eventually.

I grabbed the stuff that I knew was for poison making from the guild bank. I have no clue where to even start. I suspect I've destroyed several hundred skill points worth of materials already.

As far as scroll farming (for guildies and for bazaar money), I think it can probably be lucrative if we do it now. I think I saw a post on the eqlive forums that they are looking to make all spells researchable. This will likely drop the value of dropped scolls significantly. I've already noticed that the prices are dropping on the few that are available in the bazaar.

The druid managed to get Spirit of Eagle to drop from a Xin Thall Centien in Maidens Eye after about 3 hours of farming them. These mobs are randomly SK's and Clerics, and at one point I had four clerics in one pull, all complete healing each other. I went straight to therapy after that fight :p

Some of the zones where luclin spells drop are wide open. I never saw another sole in Maidens Eye yesterday. I suspect Umbral Plains, The Deep, and Fungus Grove (among others) are in a similar state (wide open).

And Ranelagh, let me know when you need Neh Ashir for your epic. The rogues pick lock skill is maxed now, and I had a lot of fun exploring the hidden platforms above City of Mist the other night. And I'll kill black reavers any time any day, just for fun. I love those chain respawns (but could do without the blind thing). :p

One personal note. I will be having back surgery at some point in the near future. It's minimally invasive, and the recovery shouldn't be too bad. That said, my play time may be limited while I'm recovering. I still don't have a surgery date set, but I'm hoping to get it out of the way in the next few weeks if at all possible.

Edit:
The Guild Bank was full yesterday, so I removed some stuff that was not useful. Mainly the extra blightfire patters, a bunch of simple plate stuff (I think there were 10 simple plate gloves in there) and some animal skins. No money in selling that stuff in the bazaar so I just vendored it. I'll be happy to donate the money to one of the tradeskillers.

BTW, If someone playing an INT caster wants to take up research (I think the guild would benefit greatly form this), I'll be happy to donate some plat to the cause for skill ups.

Edit2:
Something else I'd like to do on the Rogue is start collecting illusion masks. Not sure why. I guess that's what rogues are supposed to do? :D

I found some good rogue info on this site. It's a bit dated, but it was very helpful.

Also remember that any class can research now.

Int casters can research any spell, pure melee any tome, and hybrids any hybrid spell/time.

Dont forget you can turn some stuff into the Bard in the Guild Hall for Guild Tribute. Its not much, but you might find it handy for when you start doing some of the guild events.

Hey guys. Just stopping by to say sorry for disappearing, particularly since Krir is still sitting at like level 30. I was at a work conference for a few days, and my folks are in town this week/weekend, so probably won't be logging in until next week some time.

Hey all,

Please be on the lookout for a young Froglok Paladin named Microak. This is Michaels newbie toon. If you seem him, give him a guild invite and point him towards the guild bank to get some of that excess plate.
