I should probably do mine for clicky haste. Who is doing what and what do we need?

I'll be doing Jemi's epics at some point.

Goji and I need a ton of the same parts- namely, Venril Sathir's Remains (2 parts drop per kill) and hitting up Reavers in CoM.

A lot of people will need drops from Sky/Fear/Hate, once we get AAd up a bit, taking some groups there and knocking out what we need would be a good idea.

With Midgen's assistance I am up to the bigger fight portions for Shaman Epic 1.0. I need High Scale Kirn in the Hole, Neh'Ashiir in CoM, the golems (terror doesn't DT the other two do) in Plane of Fear, the Rak'Ashiir in COM.

I haven't killed High Scale Kirn in a long time, but I can say with some certainty that NehAshir is a punk... The hard part is just getting to him....

I did about 1/3 of Goji's epic last night. I'm halfway through the 'epic forage' part... Then its on to killing a bunch of rare/nameds (ulump, cyclops, sea horse, faydedar, etc...) I'm pretty sure these are all easy fights, with the possible exception of Fayadedar, just because of the logistics of triggering the spawn from the far side of Timorous Deep (if thats still how it works?).

I haven't started on the Rogues yet, but I suspect I will once Goji's is done.

In the mean time, as always, I'm available to help out with anything anyone needs (tracking, merc tankage, DPS from the rogue, etc...)

I need the swords from Sky and Fear, the 2nd Hole fight, and the final fight.

It looks like the long pole in the tent will be the swords. I can solo in Sky, but not reliably past the 1st isle, so hopefully it will drop on the faeries soon. We took a crack at fear tonight. It went fairly well for 1 group with mercs but we couldn't get to the golems. I was able to solo the Hate drop but Fear is still Fear with its wide aggros and mobbing tactics.

Gah...

Faction stuff is stooooooooooopid...

I had to sit and hand nearly a thousand muffins, 4 at a time to some dorf in West Commons just to be able to start the druids epic. Now I have to hand batwings, 4 at a time to some NPC in felwithe so I can get a pattern of a bowl to mix some stuff in.

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame!

Got the Blade of Abrogation today from Sky. Thank goodness that's over with.

Some of the Epics, like the SK one, have all the factioning built directly into the quest so the intial portion of it is really just faction building and there is no Muffin Madness.

Of course, you can also use the Invis Hand-in trick, like I have, to completely skip those parts, not to mention not needing to hand over 900 plat and 3 pieces of darkforge armor I would have had to quest. Too bad all of them don't offer that sort of shortcut.

Well, I didn't try invis or wolf form, but this isn't a 'hand in' I'm having problems with. I have to have a conversation with Alrik Farsight in Timorous Deep, and at 'Indifferent' he tells me I need to prove my worth. Invis and Wolf Form will only get me to indifferent, which is what he cons now, so I'm guessing it won't make any difference.

Handing in batwings (or muffins) isn't hard. It's just dumb.

I have the option of spending an hour or two killing Dark Elves in Neriak... wanna bring Zyerne along? :p

The Shaman epic needs faction, and one hand in to spawn an encounter needs everyone close not to be too far off faction of the PH aggros. True spirit faction is required or the person needs to be outside aggro range.

Yeah sorry, what I was trying to say was you can get away with the invis trick with the SK epic but unfortunately that doesn't work with all of them.

Bite the bullet and turn in bat wings. At least you can buy them in pok these days. It's an epic related right of passage.

It's Asinine. Nothing more, nothing less.

I will make a trip to Commons and kill Kizdean Gix few times. I still owe him, and he's a 7 minute respawn. If I get bored with that and the guy still won't talk to me, I'll grab some batwings and do the deed (but's it's STILL asinine :p )

Alternatively you could PL me to level 60 and 9 AA and I'll buy project illusion for you. though bat wings might be quicker and there is no guarantee the hit will be enough.

Also charming him (assuming his not immune) would only make him indifferent to you right?

hehe...

I dunno, he leveled pretty fast last night, but I'm pretty sure I could have turned in a LOT of batwings in the same amount of time...

Still though, yea, he dinged pretty fast :p

There's a merchant in PoK that sells bat wings, you know.

It was incredibly helpful the last time I did my epic quest. Which is odd because I don't remember having the faction issues the first time I did my epic quest.

DE, the second fight in the Hole isn't bad at all... In fact, I found it easier than the first, and my SK was still in the mid-50s at that point.

With a merc, you should be able to solo the encounter- it's clearing the temple/getting him to spawn that's such a pain.

For the record, the ghost spawns around the graves in one of the graveyards on either side of the temple, the mummy spawns in the lower of the two (left side as you face the temple) just inside the entrance to the crypts (at the back of the graveyard).

On the plus side, the Temple in the Hole is some of the best exp in the game at 60, and even up through 71 for AAing.

Yeah the only problem I see is finding the mob after I turn in the shroud to spawn him. FRom what I read on ZAM, I need a tracker to find it because it can spawn who knows where.

Once you find the ghost, the mummy spawns very consistently: He's through the first set of doors, just around the bends in the crypt. And the ghost only has 3 main spawn points as well.

Update on the Druid epic status.

I had Karnors Castle all to myself last night, and found the real Venril Sathir up. Turns out this guy was a punk, and he died at about 6:45PM pacific time to my druid/rogue tandem.

Since the pre-launch event included 'increased spawn times of rare mobs', I hung around KC the rest of the evening hoping Venril Sathir's remains would spawn, but after a few hours I gave up and went to bed with the druid/rogue camped in the safe room outside of Venrils room.

I got up early this morning hoping I might log in and find him up, but when I logged in at about 6:45, all of the servers were "Locked". However, when I logged in about 8:30 this morning, I found Venril Sathir's Remains wandering around aimlessly, popping his head off and on, like iksar ghosts tend to do. I handed him the firely globe, and he promptly turned into "Spirit of Venril Sathir". I handed him the "Resurrection Scroll" and the triggered version of Venril Sathir spawned, and promptly died to the rogues daggers (I barely got a nuke off on the druid before he died). Looted the glowing stone, and took it to Foalal in Firiona Vie and did the turn in.

So all thats left for the druid is to do the 3 contentents corrupted spawns. Just some rare mob camps. The only one that I expect to be 'interesting' will be faydedar (triggered version). Its just a bit of a logistical challenge getting from the trigger point to the room where the dragon spawns (Timorous Deep is a HUGE zone). I just need to find a close spot to bind I think.

Nice! If Faydedar is a spawned encounter can we sort that out tonight before the servers are locked?

Shaman update: DE lead Tobi, half a Grouse and I to High Sclae Kirn in the Hole yesterday so now I need some CoM loving and Fear.

Still working on ghoul arch magus. I had a second ghoul pop this morning with a second pair of pants.

I'll have to go to fear also so let me know about that
