Anyone get it yet? I'm kinda pissed off because I have no way of obtaining a copy until after I move. Which makes me a sad panda.

I got it last night. Hoping I'll have some time to play and get an impression tonight after work.

Gorgeous game. One thing that stands out is that there are a lot of cutscenes. They're worked into the flow well though.

Pretty standard-fare God of War type gameplay.

Castlevania Gaiden.

Solid storyline. Feels a bit like a movie with all the cutscenes.

Just played the demo and was impressed enough to run out (with ten minutes to spare!) and pick up the last 360 collector's edition in the store.

It's actually Castlevania May Cry.

Or would that be Belmont May Cry?

Whatever.

Still fun. Difficulty seems to hit that area where I'm not throwing the controller, but my atrophied reflexes are still getting a workout.

Hit Disc 2 this afternoon, will probably finish over the weekend. If brother is interested, it will be kept for a while - if not, back Monday.

I played the demo, and I must say it looks very pretty. Like if it keeps up that quality throughout the entire game, I'd say it might be one of the best looking games on the 360. I'm interested. I'll see what others have to say before spending $60 though.

It's definitely one of the most visually impressive games I've ever played.

Castlevania's always had great art, but they're just now getting to the point that they can implement it in the games.

Played the demo. This may be the first Castlevania game I've been interested in since 1989.

The art and scores have always been beautiful, but I don't have the love of old-school Castlevania (or Metroid, for that matter) that many have. I discovered them well after game design had evolved, and to be honest, they just don't hold up, IMO.

The game's awesomeness REALLY ramps up after you finish chapter 2. I would suggest that anyone who likes action games pick this up. Good length, great replayability, great graphics, epic story. I also hear it has one of the best endings ever, but can't vouch for that yet myself.

A lot of the songs that came out from the first two Castlevanias are arguably some of the best music from the 8 bit era. They were very well composed for the technology they had.

Another reason they were very fondly remembered was due to their ability to actually cause a bit of fear. Partially due to the game's setting and subject matter, but also partially due to how difficult the games were (especially so in the very first game).

It was just an all-around perfect blend. I can see why someone 20 years later wouldn't find them as appealing but you have to view them through the eyes of the time.

That depends on what you like in your endings.

I found it to be "WHAT A TWEEST!"-esque.

Ok I bought the game. Fun so far. An extreme (super mega extreme) rip-off of Shadows of the Colossus in parts, but that's ok. I'll forgive it, because that was a good game too.

Took some time off from the game, but finally came back around to finishing it. Wow.

Spoiler:
I think I counted no less than 3 twists at the end of the game. And every review that stated that "Dracula is not in this game" were either completely lying, or they didn't bother to purchase any epilogue art to get the full picture of what went down. Wow indeed.

I will so play the sequel.

Spoiler:
Zobek is the Lord of the Dead.

Zobek is a patsy for Lucifer.

Gabriel can't resurrect Maria - that's beyond even the God Mask.

Gabriel becomes Dracula out of nihilism, I suppose. I think he knows not to use the silly ritual...

I picked this up and played through the first level last night. I'm having tons of fun. Fighting that huge titan was awesome.

Definitely an underrated game by far. I am hoping they make more based off of this game.

Finally beat it tonight. What silly ritual? I haven't gone through and bought all of the art yet.

Gotta say the fight with Satan was disappointing to the utmost. I liked ramming his head into the ground but nothing had me cheering as I watched it.

The silly ritual that started the whole thing.

Go do the werewolf lord again; that has the vast majority of necessary plot points.

I think. (my spoiler tags aren't working so I'll add the actual plot point when I get home)
