This is, by no means, a comprehensive list.

So, in 1985, DC Comics managed a cross-over event to solve the Multiverse Problem.

In 2005, they let Dan Didio write a cross-over event to solve the Monoverse Problem.

In 2008, they let Dan Didio team up with Grant Morrison to just entirely **** up everything.

The lesson here: SHOOT GRANT MORRISON!

They should team up Joe Quesada with Grant Morrison and ruin comics forever...

I'm hoping the fact that Grant Morrison makes Dan Didio look good in any way, shape, or form was not lost on you.

Much H9 for Grant Morrison.

I'll throw the recent resurrection of Kitty Pryde into the mix as well.

Oh, and Magneto. The most recent time, to be specific.

A lot of bad comic book resurrection stories are caused by people making bad decisions to kill off characters.

Professor X, for instance, should never be dead, unless the X-Men is over with as a comic. Without Xavier, there is no "X-men" team.

Comic books are written by a series of individuals who each want to make a permanent mark on the universe they're writing in. Sometimes, those permanent marks are just ugly, and ruin it for the next guy. So they undo it.

They are freaking comic books. They are spandex versions of soap operas.

The entire point is to get the viewership wound up. At some point you've done everything except kill off people who you thought were untouchable, so you have to go there. But to Talya's point, most times without those characters there isn't a story, so you have to bring them back.

Dick Grayson Batman, Angsty Robin, and Batman-caveman is moronic...

Not "spiderman makes a deal with the devil" moronic, but close.

Proff X has to be like 100 years old at this point though. You don't really need the Prof. ****, isn't Magneto old enough to have lived through WWII? Most of the X-Men should be in wheelchairs by now, except those with superhuman physical attributes.

3 people in comics need to stay dead

Bruce Waynes parents and uncle Ben. If they come back from the dead, the shark has been jumped, beaten ad turned into glue.

I don't begrudge them too much now that I've come to terms with the fact that I wasn't the target audience anymore. I want my plot lines with a little more permanence. Now, I'd prefer Jesse Custer over Capt America.
