So, this has been quite an evening playing EQ!

Thanks in part to the low server population on Trakanon, and some really good luck, I managed to take part in, or help with some pretty exciting things tonight.

I logged in after dinner and was asked by a friend to check Kedge for Phinney. To my surprise, I zoned in and he was up!... The Friend showed up, Phinney died, and I went to the other side of Kedge and killed few PH's for the tainted Seahorse (for Druid epic). No luck with tainted, but Undertow dropped Lamentation Blade.

After that, McDuff and I went to The Hole to help Zyerne with Ghost/Mummy of Gohnor for her Shadow Night epic. Just as we were about give up and port out, I popped up tracking on the druid, and sure enough, the Ghost was up!.. Gratz Zyerne. She only needs Plane of Fear and City of Mist for her epic!

Then another friend asked me to come to South Karana to help track Quillmane. I dropped in to the North Karana druid rings and as soon as I turned towards South Karana zone line, a Highland Lion walked in front of me. I killed it, and it dropped a High Quality Lion Skin (used for Fleeting Quiver). Went on to spend an hour or so running around South Karana but wasn't lucky enough to get Quillmane.

Decided to port to Emerald Jungle to see if I could get the Tainted Gorilla to spawn for the druid epic. Zoned in and popped up tracking.. who do I see? Not the Gorilla, but Severilous is on track!... Fortunately McDuff hadn't logged off, so we headed up there. We popped our Vet Reward stuff and buffed up. Sev is Dead. Dropped a bunch of spells, a SHM shield, Dragon Scales and some other stuff. Duff and I split the loot. Lots of spells and such including at least one Shammy spell McDuff needed. We'll drop the stuff we can't use in the guild bank tomorrow.

Just because i was having such great luck, on leaving Emerald Jungle, I decided to pop over to Dreadlands just in case we might find another dragon on track. Ported in and ran through the tunnel to get in tracking range, and sure enough, Gorenaire is up! Couldn't believe it. She managed to fear a few of us a few times, but other than some debuffs we managed to kill her fairly easily. Another pile of spells (druid got two she needed.. Form of the Hunter and Entrapping Roots). Couple of ENC and NEC spells will be in the bank tomorrow afternoon for those who need them.

All in all it was quite a day. In some ways, the dragon fights were disappointing because they were a little too easy. On the positive note, as long as we can find them up, we know we can kill them. It's also encouraging to know that at our level we can probably handle the next tier of dragons and bosses as a guild if we can get enough folks on. Perhaps Vindi/AoW, or even some early PoP gods might be do able? I'd also like to explore Veeshans Peak, as it's a zone I never spent any time in the first go around. There are some others too. I need to start making a list and checking things off.

We should start a checklist !

GJ Midg. Sorry I couldn't stick around, I would have loved to get in on the dragon kills. Hang on to that green scale for Razael's epic!

Yea that's the plan. Unfortunately he needs a Red Dragon scale too, which I believe on drops fro Nagafen. They are tradeable, but honestly I'm not sure how many people on Trak are killing him these days, and if they are, it's probably for that very reason. Doesn't seem likely I'd ever see one in the bazaar.

You know, we could probably do Trakanon himself pretty easily too.

I dropped the Nec / Enc spells I picked up in the bank before I logged off last night.

I put a bunch in as well... didn't take to time to see what was redundant, so there may be dupes in there.

Red scale drops from Nagfen and Talendor in Skyfire, so two options to get it for Raz.

Also note that Red Dragon Scales have a chance of dropping from the Echo of Nortlav, the Erudite ghost at the base of the Hole. Not every time, but it's worth killing him when you see him.

You can get them off the red dragon in Skyfire too.

Really?

I run by that guy all the time.

Is there a faction hit for him?

Ill read up on talendor spawn times.

Im honestly not that exited to get Raz his epic. Goji is First. Ill do Kirahs next, but I need some "quiet" time to skill up her picks pockets skill. I may work on Raz, but not until everyone else has theirs.

That's cool, now pressure. Just pointing out the value of scale, and that it's not as hard to get as it might seem.

Actually I was replying to NephyrS post about the Nortlav guy in The Hole dropping them (Sorry, I should have quoted NephyrS).

I've seen that guy up almost every time I've been in the Hole. I thought he was a quest NPC or something.
