Weird ...
I wonder if we were to fact-check Politifact on this matter if we'd discover something ...
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter ... ers-comme/This story says Bachmann distorts Geitner's comment, but doesn't adequately explain what happens if the U.S. Dollar ceases to be China's reserve currency. Do you know what happens if China switches to the Euro, Aizle? Politifact consciously avoids discussing that and side steps the fact that the U.S. Dollar was the de facto international currency for much of the last 40 years. Now, Bachmann's not crazy or ultra-right, because this issue is so far over the heads of the St. Petersburg Times that any reporting on the subject is disingenuous.
I can, however, tell you one thing: if Geitner honestly believes letting China dump the dollar as their reserve currency is a good idea; we're ****.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter ... roke-our-/Really? This one is like cherrypicking the most retarded thing Dan Quayle ever said as proof Republicans are retarded ... oh, wait ... or George W. Bush or ...
You know, it's pretty funny that an obvious bias against the Republican party has emerged already in two pieces from a site ostensibly concerned with "facts" in politics.
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter ... on-federa/Except, ACORN received an undisclosed amount of grant money for advertising census efforts, as did some 25,000 other groups. Politifact takes special care to not even address the matter here. More to the fact, they keep trying to assert that the Bachmann stated ACORN was using/could use Federal funds to perpetrate voter fraud, when she simply said that Federal money could end up in their hands. So, I'm trying to figure out how this is completely and utterly balderdash, when they were paid with Federal dollars for services rendered (advertising Census issues). So, her potentiality is somehow false when the facts demonstrate they received some amount of Federal funding. And Politifact on the other hand is somehow credible for asserting something she didn't say?
That's 3 strikes in 3 looks. This doesn't look promising for Politifact, Aizle.
You don't like Bachmann. That's cool. I'm not a big fan either, but she's not as extreme as you'd like to believe.
