Similar issue here; I was on; but got kicked... Some servers are showing me as cata enabled; some aren't.

Something that may cause these CE to be a little more valuable than the last two: Landro's Gift TCG loot card.

The loot card, when used:

"Right Click" empties contents of box automatically regardless of missing text on tooltip.
Contains one stack of TCG consumable, either:
[Sandbox Tiger] x 50,
[Papa Hummel's Pet Biscuit] x 50,
[Path of Cenarius] x 50.

Also one TCG Mount contained rarely inside, either:
[Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger],
[Reins of the Spectral Tiger],
[X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME],
[X-51 Nether-Rocket],
[Big Battle Bear],
[Riding Turtle] (non-tradeable).
Characters will not receive a mount already known.
Is a super-common loot card.
Useable at any level and therefore available for twinks.

I am tempted to use my riding turtle card (that I should have sold a long time ago) just to guarantee I won't get that. Although.... maybe others want to do the same thing, and this will increase it's value again. Hmmm.

So do you always get a mount with the CE, or just that you have a chance to?

Apparently it's just a chance. Still, I'll take it.

So brief overview, what's it like so far? Should I reup my account and start playing again?

I got to try out Vashjir for about an hour or so before being called back in to work, and I have to say its pretty awesome so far. It's a lot more than just "go to the new zone and start questing". There is a lot better flow and story to it.

Quest on the bulletin board in the trade district of SW, sends you to either Mount Hyjal or Vashjir. Once you get the quest, there's an NPC in SW keep that ports you to Hyjal. To get to Vashjir, you talk to someone in SW harbor.

I must say -- starting a Worg is a visceral experience. First few quests are superbly done, and pretty exciting, IMO.

Really liking the race so far.

The regearing starts in the water on the way to Vashj'r. You also get a seahorse mount as part of one of the quest lines underwater.

As they don't give us an eleventh character slot (10 80's on Silver hand) I had to go to one of the other servers to start a Worgen. I agree with Rodahn, though it is a bit too linearally forced for me.

Yeah it does kinda remind me of a console action game to an extent, but that also keeps the place going, I think.

I will probably make a Gobby next -- their racials look pretty sweet.

Michael,

Plenty of spots in the guild on Wyrmrest Accord-A...

You could level with my lovely wife who rolled a Worgern male druid called Honie.

Stayed home yesterday by pre-arrangement at the office; Taamar and I rolled a pair of Worgen druids and spent the day questing. Got to lvl 16 by the time I had to switch to playing with my weekly DDO group. Rather disappointed that the starting area and initial questline for a brand new race felt almost exactly like the jumpstart area for Death Knights. Other than that, had quite a lot of fun with it and am looking forward to checking out the goblins.

Can't remember the exact time at which we saw the first 85 announcement, but by about 6pm I think we'd seen almost all of the class announcements and 2 or 3 profession announcements.

I actually really liked that the new race starting area was like the DKs. The phasing and line really helped give you a sense of background and history of the race, plus you don't spend a ton of time putzing on silly crap waiting to get to lvl 10-15.

Boo. Having to log out and then back in to fully Cata-enable your account led to ridiculous login issues for about 10-15 minutes.

10-15 minutes during which the first prepared cook to luck past the login got server first cooking.

I return to blaming the whole releasing the Cata Cooking dailies 2 weeks in advance. Kind of bleh to end up having the whole achievement hinge on being one of the lucky few to get through. Took me over 5 minutes after server first Cooking was obtained before I could log in. Clearly Blizzard didn't put much thought into this because I am pretty sure they didn't intend for it to play out this way.

That aside, Cata launch has been pretty sweet so far. Healing instances is... different. I expect there will be relatively fewer healers in this expansion as compared to last. :p It's really, really weird to get surprised by a pull (those two pulls in Twilight Vortex that spam the group are especially sweet :D) and end up barely keeping the group alive and using 3/4 of your mana bar. Definitely have to put my remaining talents into mana regen stuff... I'm looking forward to raid healing a lot now.

Having to level slowly cause of all these assignments for school makes me a bit sad but it lets me take advantage more of their newness and relative coolness I suppose! The last one in Hyjal is pretty sweet. Vashj'ir is practically made for Druids... Aquatic Form with the minor glyph is soooooo fast there. Glorious.

edit: Replacing Val'anyr with a blue was.. I... ..tears are in my eyes. :( Maybe I can convince myself that the bubbles make up for 500 SP and the nearly 100 int... maybe... somehow... :(

One of Phe's Christmas presents was the CE of Cataclysm, and it's spurred us to re-up our accounts.

We're Ravenholt and Karyaa on Farstriders, as our mains. Phe's created a Worgen, and I'll be creating one tomorrow (I've got to patch around 5 GB before I can play again, plus the Cata install).

You may be getting an influx of people soon that want off Moon Guard.
