Just Assange talking about why they do what they do. I thought it was interesting, nothing more.

Julian Assange's OKC profile. Look at the "last online date". It's definitely real.

Haha. That is the best and worst OKC profile.

I'm eager for Icelandic citizens to have all their debit cards go defunct because some politicians are posturing. Hilarity would ensue.

Hopefully it would have the side effect of creating more competition for Mastercard and Visa.

If they're like Canada, debit cards are not run by the credit card companies.

Technically, neither are they here. It's simply that a majority of debit cards are also MasterCards or Visas so the bank can pitch them as "check cards" that "work just like credit cards." Because actually going to ATMs, and thus, carrying cash, is a horrifying notion to middle class America. The ATM transactions themselves are processed via the banks and one of the ATM networks (STAR being the largest, still, I believe).

The big Canadian bank I work for has a deal with Mastercard. In fact, they gave me a Mastercard to access my low-interest credit line. I still keep a standalone bank card though for debit and ATM purposes.

In other news, our new prime minister got a lot of flack for backing up obama's assertion that he did something wrong. A lot of her own cabinate's not backing her up on that one...

Part of me just really wants to see a giant terrorist attack in Berkeley.

They would never be able to ID the subject unless it was a white christian male.

Like Timothy McVeigh?

Of course, were George Washington alive today, he'd be organizing a revolt against he government and end up executed as a terrorist, too. It's all perspective.

Twas a snarky comment that Berkley is so backwards that they can only describe someone if they are white, christian and or male.

Oh, I figured it was a commentary that they couldn't possibly accuse somebody who wasn't white, Christian, or male as a suspect in a crime. Because, you know, that'd be racist, sexist, or insensitive of another religion.

The whack-jobs in Berkeley think they're immune from terrorist attacks because of their political ideology, just like those in Portland and Sweden.

Really? Explain this to me. He agreed not to release classified information. He broke that agreement.

My word is important to me. Why does breaking it make him a hero in your eyes?
