Hence the word "abuse" of authority, or did you overlook that in your zeal to jump on me?
No I didn't overlook it. You, however, can't seem to avoid your zeal for playing the victim card every time you're disagreed with. Yes, some people will abuse their authority, but that's why we have the rules I cited. You showed no reason why a gay commnader doing it to a straight soldier would be either more common or more problematic than a straight soldier

Are you claiming there will never be anyone who will abuse their authority? No man has ever abused his authority in the military concerning sexual favors from women under his command? What damn planet do you live on? It is not Earth.
What planet exactly do you live on where this is even relevant? Of course some people do or we wouldn't have such rules. Explain why it will be any more of a problem now that people will be openly gay.

All I am saying is that, just like some catholic priests abused their authority, and some men have abused their authority over women in the workplace, some gay men in the military in positions of authority will abuse that authority. Note the word "some" before you go jumping on me again. It'd be incredibly naive to think that it won't ever happen, so don't waste your time trying to tell me it won't.
Yes, some of them will. So what? No one ever argued that some won't; it was pointed out that there are perfectly adequate means to deal with it. You are implying by even bringing this up that there is sometihng new and special if it happens between a gay commander and a straight soldier than otherwise. Now you're just hiding behind faux outrage and this "you're caliing the world is perfect!" strawman because you really have no argument. You're just pointing out the blindingly obvious and pretending it's a point.
