No no, I'm quite happy with my assessment.

Pop and rock sucked more than could possibly be imaginable in the '80s. The only decent music to come out of the '80s were by artists already established before the Decade of Suck began, minus a few punk and metal bands.

Good decade for movies, though. Not the best, but some the high points were exceptional.

The channel my dad and I used to watch still called it Mazinger, not Tranzor. Several years later I saw it again while it was called Tranzor Z; but the original name always stuck with me.

I'm not sure when or how (perhaps it's partly due to being able to readily recall, just about anything I've ever seen and when I saw it), but I can claim about 80% of the list. Sucker for classics I guess.

I can't think of any "awesome movies" that I haven't seen. I'm more the type that will go buy a movie that I want to see when I learn about it.

Working on several of the others. Some of them I just don't want to see at all (**** you, Spike Lee).

Yes, Spike Lee is indeed a douche, but he has made a few entertaining movies. Much like the fact that although Roman Polanski is a convicted child rapist, that doesn't change the fact that he's a talented filmmaker and both Chinatown and The Pianist are brilliant films.

From the AFI top 100 list, I've seen even fewer (marked with asterisks.) Note that I'd have seen a lot more, but I've watched parts of many these movies and wasn't interested enough to keep watching. (Like Jaws, or Rocky, for example.) Others I've just never had enough interest to go pick up and watch.

Holy crap, I didn't realize City Lights was so high up there. Maybe it's because I think the 20's to early 30's culture sucked, maybe it's because I don't really care one way or another about Charlie Chaplin, but that movie sucked. I'm sorry, it was boring, unrewarding, and paying mind to the technical detail didn't even make it fun.

However, Double Indemnity was awesome.
