This is an important question.

They should fall off the bone, exactly like ribs.

It should be crispy if still intact.

I'm steering clear of fried foods at the moment, but I like where your head is at.

Chicken wings are an indulgence for people who want just a little meat with their skin, hot sauce and (for wimps) Ranch Dressing.

I generally don't indulge.

I prefer to cook my wings on the grill (generously seasoned with garlic powder and onion powder) then add them to the sauce while hot and crispy. Served with a nice green or pasta salad. My sauce is a couple tablespoons melted butter with the same amount of extra virgin olive oil and Crystal hot sauce to taste. I tried Frank's and really didn't care for it that much.

Not really a fan of wings, but I like the way they do 'em at Buffalo Wild Wings. More fond of their dry rub varieties than their saucy varieties, but I enjoy 'em both.

Not a huge fan of wings. Much like crab legs(crab doesn't taste that great to begin with), too much effort for too little reward. Boneless wings are fantastic, though.

I like a lot of different kind of wings. There are several acceptable textures for the skin, but breaded is to be avoided as exessivly filling.

Fingers and boneless wings are better than wings.

Plain wings are just too fiddly to eat.

Regardless of how they are prepared, unseasoned unsauced wings served to you wit the sauce on the side are the worst.

Eating traditional bone-in chicken wings has a barbaric feel to it, especially if they are 'saucy' :p

I don't usually bother with them (not worth the effort), although when I was living in Anchorage, there was a Chicken Wing delivery place that sold some nuclear hot wings that were really damn good. I ate a lot of those things...

Damn, now I want some :p

My wife and I went to this place in Maine once and I ordered an appetizer of wings, which arrived completely plain. I asked for some wing sauce, and they brought me this tiny dipper thing of it for the side; a very thin, watery sauce that was most likely nothing but Tabasco. I asked where were the wings that had been properly tossed in the sauce and they answered that they don't do that.

I was so furious I almost got up and walked out, if it hadn't been for the obvious risk of getting a lecture about it from my wife, and having her pissed off the rest of the night, although she was sympathetic and did not approve of the wings either. If I wanted **** fried chicken, I'd order fried chicken, not wings.

I have trouble making friends with chicken wings too. Perhaps it's because I've eaten so many of their kinsmen.

Leave to Maine to screw up one of the simplest, most common and best dishes. Idiots!
