I think Moore should hold his breath 'till it happens. Or, better yet, self-immolation as a statement of his dedication to change.

If you find your overly conversational diction appropriate for critiquing someone else's overly conversational diction, you probably shouldn't throw stones.

I thought about clicking the link, but everything Khross posts is always tl;dr. Besides, it's Khross. Not having read something has never stopped any of us from arguing with him before.

Reading the bible converts few agnostics.

That's frankly awesome, Dash.

I want a Democratic economy. I think the Occupy protesters should be rounded up and put on a production line to make cheap manufactured goods for all of us! Who's with me!?

Michael Moore tells CNN's Anderson Cooper that capitalism as we know it is over. Moore say capitalism is where "the problem" is. Moore was broadcasting from "Occupy Oakland."

"So, let's not use the old definition where we think -- when we say capitalism, we're talking about 2011. 2011 capitalism is an evil system set up to benefit the few at the expense of the many. That's what happened, and that's what people are tired of. Which is too bad for the capitalists because I think a lot of people, perhaps in this crowd, probably used to support the 'old-style' of capitalism," Moore said on CNN.

"So, what system do you want?" Anderson Cooper asked Moore.

"Well there's no system right now that exists. We're going to create that system. This movement, this movement in the next year, or two, or few years is going to create a democratic economic system. That's the most important thing. Whatever we come up with it has to have at its core -- the American people are going to be the one's controlling this economy. We're going to have a say, a big say, the say in how this economy is run," Moore said.

Moore says the Occupy group and himself have "declared" the current economic system as over. "It's just a matter of time until we make that happen," Moore said.

I actually like this idea; I think it makes a lot of sense. The economy should be controlled by the American People. Still, we can't have 350 million people with different ideas talking at once. We should set up some sort of system where people vote for individuals to represent their opinions. To be fair, there should be one representative for every X number of people. Then these people could all get together and debate the economy and figure out and vote on plans to fix problems, etc.

I think he's on to something with this. Still, I'd be concerned that this might give too much power to the more populated states. We'd have to come up with a way to balance the power between states.

Yeah, pretty much the response I was expecting. The key difference here that you don't seem to understand is that technically correct english doesn't mean readable english. My paragraph, unlike his essay was easily understood by everyone here who read it. Or to be more specific, my point was obvious and understood, unlike his essay.

Funny thing about citing sources...

When I write a post on the Glade, I am keenly aware of some very important details that perhaps I should fill the rest of you in on.

You guys are not going to read the entire post, let alone any sources I might have. None of you are the least bit interested in anything so highbrow as academic integrity, which makes citing sources so as to avoid plagiarism a moot point. I am not writing a research paper when I post here.

I ran across this about six months ago when we had that thread on the upcoming scarcity of liquid helium. I started looking up some numbers so that I could model an MRI in a circuit simulator to explain why you couldn't just let them run at a higher temperature when I realized that I was getting ready to do a few thousand dollars worth of consulting work that none of you were going to pay me for. Not only was I not going to get paid, but nobody would have read it. Big fat waste of my time, so I didn't do it. <- This is the part you can omit in order to pretend Khross wrote this post.

There is a very sharp difference between not accepting things at face value - demanding proof and supporting evidence - and stubborn ignorance. I'm giving this stuff out for free. If you don't want to take my word for it, then don't. That's not my problem, and I'm sure as hell not going to go through all the work to write a well-researched article just so you **** can skim over it, quote one line, and continue spouting the same retarded bullshit. **** you. You're not getting it.

That child would be you.

Ya know, this is the first post anyone has dropped here in what is now approaching a year that actually made me want to punch them in the mouth for a short amount of time.

Sometimes the truth makes me angry too. Making a well thought out TL;DR post is a complete waste of time. The internet is not the place to have a serious discussion on anything. It's taken me a while to realize that.

You know what? **** off.

The vast majority of your posts are ignorant one-liners that you apparently think are witty and insightful, but in reality just reflect your smug arrogant assumption that you have some sort of penetrating, honest view of both the world and everyone else here that you quite frankly, don't.

Ok, so you have a lot of technical knowledge about electrical systems and other scientific stuff. Whop de **** do. I haven't noticed that this somehow confines you to those topics, you've written plenty of diatribes on social, economic, religious, and other topics including several (like this one) where you try to pretend you have some sort of insight into how the rest of us think that for some reason none of us can see because we don't know anything about liquid helium or capacitors or some ****. We got some particularly impressive, and particularly inane walls of text from you related to the events wherein Monty and Bery got themselves banned. When we aren't getting those we're getting your idiotic pronouncements about political racism or what the **** ever your latest little meme is that lets you think you're smarter than everyone else on earth.

I'd be willing to bet you haven't bothered to read some of my longer posts either, regarding military matters. We had that asinine thread where a bunch of people wanted to cut massive percentages from the military budget for no stated reason whatsoever, despite the fact that I've explained why we shouldn't make massive cuts, where some cuts could come from, and how we could restructure our forces around a new strategy that would mean less in the way of long-expensive counterinsurgencies on several occasions. Funny how you didn't have a smug little diatribe for everyone else then, and I'm damn sure you haven't bothered to read or comprehend what I was talking about. It's a lot easier to keep making inane one-line posts about "political racism" or "comrades!" or our "lords and masters" or whatever oversimplified bullshit you think makes you look perceptive today.

Yes, but, see, you don't like George Carlin. That immediately invalidates your opinion on Coro's style of posting, because **** you, that's why.
(It's not the sense of humor, or even his positions on things...it's the attitude: utter contempt for humanity as a whole. It's something you hate, it's something I find entertaining.)

Sometimes I wonder who else on this forum has read Capital and Interest when I get into discussion on economics. (Maybe one other person and I don't mean Khross).

I don't use that as a reason to not engage in discussion.

I won't take that bet. Coro has so many people on ignore, it'd be way fairer odds to bet on whether a given poster is even visible to Coro.
