Funny thing about citing sources...
When I write a post on the Glade, I am keenly aware of some very important details that perhaps I should fill the rest of you in on.
You guys are not going to read the entire post, let alone any sources I might have. None of you are the least bit interested in anything so highbrow as academic integrity, which makes citing sources so as to avoid plagiarism a moot point. I am not writing a research paper when I post here.
I ran across this about six months ago when we had that thread on the upcoming scarcity of liquid helium. I started looking up some numbers so that I could model an MRI in a circuit simulator to explain why you couldn't just let them run at a higher temperature when I realized that I was getting ready to do a few thousand dollars worth of consulting work that none of you were going to pay me for. Not only was I not going to get paid, but nobody would have read it. Big fat waste of my time, so I didn't do it. <- This is the part you can omit in order to pretend Khross wrote this post.
There is a very sharp difference between not accepting things at face value - demanding proof and supporting evidence - and stubborn ignorance. I'm giving this stuff out for free. If you don't want to take my word for it, then don't. That's not my problem, and I'm sure as hell not going to go through all the work to write a well-researched article just so you **** can skim over it, quote one line, and continue spouting the same retarded bullshit. **** you. You're not getting it.
You know what? **** off.
The vast majority of your posts are ignorant one-liners that you apparently think are witty and insightful, but in reality just reflect your smug arrogant assumption that you have some sort of penetrating, honest view of both the world and everyone else here that you quite frankly, don't.
Ok, so you have a lot of technical knowledge about electrical systems and other scientific stuff. Whop de **** do. I haven't noticed that this somehow confines you to those topics, you've written plenty of diatribes on social, economic, religious, and other topics including several (like this one) where you try to pretend you have some sort of insight into how the rest of us think that for some reason none of us can see because we don't know anything about liquid helium or capacitors or some ****. We got some particularly impressive, and particularly inane walls of text from you related to the events wherein Monty and Bery got themselves banned. When we aren't getting those we're getting your idiotic pronouncements about political racism or what the **** ever your latest little meme is that lets you think you're smarter than everyone else on earth.
I'd be willing to bet you haven't bothered to read some of my longer posts either, regarding military matters. We had that asinine thread where a bunch of people wanted to cut massive percentages from the military budget for no stated reason whatsoever, despite the fact that I've explained why we shouldn't make massive cuts, where some cuts could come from, and how we could restructure our forces around a new strategy that would mean less in the way of long-expensive counterinsurgencies on several occasions. Funny how you didn't have a smug little diatribe for everyone else then, and I'm damn sure you haven't bothered to read or comprehend what I was talking about. It's a lot easier to keep making inane one-line posts about "political racism" or "comrades!" or our "lords and masters" or whatever oversimplified bullshit you think makes you look perceptive today.
