If high school high jinx are grounds for dismissal for being President, then based on the fights and trouble threads we had earlier, we'd all be sunk.

WTF said anything about voting for Obama?

Anyway, I'm sure that will put you at ease and give you the leeway to find another really important reason to not vote for Romney.

Amazing how this story came out just a little over 24 hours after Obama's...evolution...

I have no tolerance for bullies, in any capacity. Never have. This is close enough to an admission to disqualify him. F him.

I don't disagree with you, and I certainly have no love for Romney (or Obama, for that matter), but I want to address this. I really feel that one is scraping the bottom of the barrel to pull up stuff from high school like this.

(1) Kids (including late teens) are mean to each other. I hate bullying as much as anyone, but pretty much every kid does it at some point or another. "Lord of the Flies" is a pretty accurate social statement. Children are not "innocent." They are human. And given an opportunity or reason, every single one of us has the capacity for cruelty, capriciousness and vindictiveness, as we do for kindness, compassion and mercy. Most of us try to train the nice things into our kids and the mean things out, but school and other kids often bring out the worst in each other. Yes, it needs to be dealt with, but i don't think it necessarily says much about the person they are 10 years later, let alone 40 years later.

(2) Opinions I find unacceptable in others are opinions I might have held 20 years ago. I used to be a good Christian girl. (Well, Christian, anyway. Good is another matter.) I firmly believed homosexuality was despicable to God and an abomination. And of course I'd never have admitted, even to myself, of my bisexuality at the time. So I tend to allow for people's opinions to change.

This entire discussion is bringing out the good old Red vs. Blue cesspool that American politics has devolved into.

Obama may have been a schoolyard bully, but he has grown and matured to genuinely regret it. True virtue is not measured by what mistakes you never made, but how you dealt with the ones you did.

I believe it was Romney they were discussing, but yeah.

LOL.

Of course, here in Canada, Reds are Liberals (who are centrist). Blues are Conservatives. The New Democrat Party (our left wing) is Orange.

That doesn't make sense. You can only have Red and Blue.

I seem to recall that years ago they used blue on the networks for Republicans and red for Democrats. It's what's fashionable at the time.

That must have been confusing.

They won a seat in parliament here. Which means, technically they matter. A little bit.

Yes, but not nearly as amusing.
