The government is actually no longer able to get into the black by cutting spending. The nondiscretionary spending plus the military budget puts the country in the red already.

All that can be changed by a willing, competent Congress.

So cut nondiscretionary spending and the military budget.

Seriously. What happens to a person who's mortgage and grocery budget exceeds their income? Eventually they are forced to cut spending one way or another. They can either sell their home and live somewhere else, or have it taken away from them. One way or another, you've eventually gotta cut spending.

Except that cutting nondiscretionary spending is political suicide, so you can't do that. Instead, Congress is choosing to inflate our way out of the problem instead.

We need people willing to be elected to one term.
