Although, having Skee watch Old Yeller could be entertaining :) Maybe make it a Dog Day Weekend Marathon.

Old Yeller, Where The Red Fern Grows, Turner and Hooch, and Marley and Me.

Any others for that list?

;)

Ok, here's the ridiculously large list:

Spoiler:
Timeless Classics that we already know hold up:
Old Yeller
The Black Stallion
Christmas Story
Beetlejuice
Nightmare Before Christmas
Robocop
Goonies

Non-Disney Films:
Iron Eagle (at least the first one, the rest are purely optional.)
Short Circuit (both)
Gremlins (both)
Willow
The Dark Crystal
The Muppet Movie
The Great Muppet Caper
Muppets Take Manhattan
Clash of the Titans (1981)
Neverending Story (the first one only, you'll thank me)
Labyrinth
The Sandlot
Commando
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Time Bandits
Where The Red Fern Grows

Disney Films:
The Last Starfighter
Flight of the Navigator
Treasure Island (Arrr!)
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
The Shaggy Dog
Swiss Family Robinson
The Parent Trap
The Incredible Journey
Mary Poppins
The Love Bug (and sequels)
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Escape to Witch Mountain
The Apple Dumpling Gang
Pete's Dragon (First one of these I saw at the theatre)
The Cat From Outer Space
The Black Hole
The Devil & Max Devlin
Dragonslayer
TRON
Flight of the Navigator
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
The Rocketeer
The Three Musketeers (Kiefer Sutherland version)
Homeward Bound
Dragonslayer (1981)
Return to Oz
Flubber (The Absent Minded Professor?)
The Private Eyes
Darby O'Gill & the Little People
Condor Man
Journey of Natty Gann
The Cat From Outer Space
Not Quite Human
The Boy who could Fly
Pete's Dragon
The Computer wore tennis shoes

I wasn't sure when you said flubber if you meant the original (which was titled "The Absent Minded Professor" or the remake with Robin Williams. I vote original. Personally, I think we should probably start with extra-beloved films and work down from there. I loved the don knotts films growing up (the reluctant astronaut, No Deposit No Return), but there are literally hundreds that fall into that category. I vote the first film Skee watches and reviews (assuming he has not seen it) is Terry Gilliam's Time Bandits, mainly for the reason that I just verified it's on Netflix streaming and will be very easy to watch. Also, because it is relatively insane.

Oh if you want obscure, then "The Monster Squad" just because of the line: "Wolfman's got nards!"

The Frighteners
Teen Wolf
My Girl (Even though it was sad)

Ok, then I still vote for The Time Bandits.

Also thought of 2 more fun ones:

The Explorers (also on netflix streaming, River Phoenix/Ethan Hawke's first non made for TV film)
Legend (Tim Curry as Darkness, Tom Cruise and Mia Sara)

I have tried legend. I love love love Ridley Scott, and I love Tim Curry. And yet, every. single. time. I try to watch it, I fall asleep about twenty minutes in.

I keep meaning to caffeinate the hell out of myself and give it another go.

I didn't discover Legend until I was older. It was merely ok.

Also, how in the Hell have you not seen "A Christmas Story?" They play it for 24 hours every year! It's tradition at my wife's family's house to have it playing in the background all day. It's still excellent. The line "Some men are Baptists, others Catholics; my father was an Oldsmobile man", kills me every time.

I'm pretty sure I've seen every movie in this thread so I'm having a hard time remembering anything to add to it.

Wow, I've never heard of under the rainbow. I don't think anyone was ever under the impression that Ice Pirates was good, but man, it was great. You also jogged my memory, another one I remember fondly, Johnny Dangerously. If that guy could've spoken english, it would've had quite a different rating.

Another oddity that must be seen : Buckaroo Bonzai!

The Last Starfighter wasn't Disney. (Lorimar/Universal)

Dragonslayer was Disney's, but they farmed out distribution to Paramount because they weren't comfortable with the mature content. (Dragonslayer is responsible for Disney later creating the Touchstone brand, for movies that didn't quite fit with Disney's image.)

Ah, I must've mis-remembered that because Disney channel picked it up and showed it constantly for a while.

Also, holy crap, someone made it into a musical!

Haha, yeah I can't believe we got this far down the thread without it. Also, "They Live", also by John Carpenter. Not the greatest movie ever, but definitely the greatest "impromptu fight in an alley" ever. And home to many quotes that have been lifted over, and over, and over.

The movie was equally sad. I agree that I both loved and hated it. I have never read the book or seen the movie since childhood, and I never will again. Stupid authors targeting the one weak spot I have.
