I think the effort I expended today far outweighed the gain from it.
About three hours on the Microsoft tech support line, to get 240 Microsoft points refunded.
I bought two episodes of the Closer this morning, season 5 (Titles: Products of Discovery and Blood Money). I watch and enjoy the first, then I go buy the second.. and when I play it, I get... another copy of Products of Discovery.
I spend 40 minutes on the phone, and finally began to download a 3 gig file. I pass out about now after hanging up.
Download occurs, I attempt to use it.. I get Products of Discovery again. I call the line, I get kicked back saying "Call the Live support". I call again, I get a runaround about downloading again. I reject this notion. The person decides I need a refund. They move me to billing. The person gets my information, and puts me on hold for long enough that my phone hangs up. (This takes about 40 minutes total.)
I call, again, this time to Billing. They move me back to Live support. Live support hears my issue, hears I have tried stuff to solve it. They move me back to Billing. Billing hears what I need. They go over everything. they transfer me to a "resolution representative". The resolution representative is difficult to understand, but I get the points. Apparently, though, if it happens again, I'm ****ed. I am surly.
(Note: The objective was to get Blood Money fixed. So I could watch it. >_> )
