SO SAY WE ALL.

(not to mention the fact that Disney basically has infinity money to pour into making the absolute best realization of the film (and soon, theme park) imaginable!)

True, but I gotta say I missed that little science museum thing next to Autopia that they are tearing out for that. That and the Starcade.

Are those Disneyland California attractions you're talking about? I'm unfamiliar with them. (Only been to Walt Disney World, FL. Hollywood Studios at WDW is getting a major makeover for Star wars attractions.)

Also... Nice fan supercut of all released footage related to this movie.

Hey, as long as it lives on in your heart, no one can take it away from you. Like Firefly. /fetalposition

Naw, the California Adventure part of the park didn't replace anything from vanilla Disneyland that I know of. It was near where the cars (the ones on a track with lawn-mower engines) are in the vicinity of the submarine ride. It really wasn't much, it was called Innoventions (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innoventions_(Disneyland)). It was more like a science-of-tomorrow attraction, probably the actual inspiration behind the Tomorrowland movie. Later on in life, it shifted toward tech company sponsored ideas, but still had cool stuff. But it was a place out of the sun, it made little kids' imaginations turn, and it was a good place to take a break.

The Starcade was just a regular ole cabinet video game arcade, but those fell outta favor so I get why they got rid of it. But that one was right next to Space Mountain so a different part of the park.

Wow, at one point there was a Monsanto attraction:

In Florida, Innoventions is in Epcot's Futureworld (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Innoventions_(Epcot)). But Tomorrowland exists in WDW's Magic Kingdom just like at Disneyland. I need to get out to California to compare them.

That's kinda cool. Never been to the FL one. Never wanted to deal with FL's humidity in the summer. heh

I wouldn't go in summer, either. Canadians travel south to escape winter. ;)

We go in October (last year, and next year). It's not only comfortable and nowhere near as crowded, but Halloween there is boss.

Actually that's a great time to go, Farsky. Our last two trips to WDW (2013 & 2015) have been end of september/beginning of october (11 days @ Coronado Springs Resort and 12 days @ Caribbean Beach Resort, respectively). We would get the "Free Disney Dining Plan" with our vacation package and use the snack credits at Epcot for their International Food & Wine Festival. It's a great time to escape the crowds.

We skipped MNSSHP though.

I've heard that the biggest difference between Florida and California when it comes to Disney has nothing to do with quality -- Disney's top notch in both places. Everything I've read says that WDW FL is better if you're making a vacation entirely Disney. You can spend two weeks there and still not quite see everything, and WDW puts you in a "Disney Bubble" where you're completely immersed in the experience.

Apparently Disneyland California lacks that bubble, but makes up for it in concentrated entertainment. You see more in a single day at Disneyland or DCA than you do at Disneyworld -- but there's only really enough there for 3 days worth of your vacation, so it's better as part of a bigger vacation that's more than just Disney.
