The Glade 4.0

I am looking for a powerful yet lightweight(ish) screwdriver/drill combo that is battery powered. Any suggestions? I have my husband's tools but they are too heavy for me right now...I am limited to my right hand since I have had nerve damage in my left and have minimal control of my left.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

How powerful/lightweight?

Generally speaking, Milwaukee has a 12volt drill/driver system that I use for basically everything around the house.

I Have a larger 15.6v Hilti Drill Driver for anything the milwaukee impact cannot.

I <3 my Milwaukee, but since I sold Hilti, I'm biased against DeWalt, and to a lesser extent, Makita and Bosch. FOr a regular drill driver, around the house a 12v from any of those 3 companies would do you well. If cost is an issue at that price point, a Ryobi 18v kit would *work*, but they're definitely heavier and larger.

I have both Bosch and Dewalt's drills/drivers (18/20v versions). They're pretty light if you don't plug in a 9 amp hour 60v battery. The 1.5 or 2 amp hour batteries weigh almost nothing.

My wife is pretty comfortable with the DeWalt 20v max impact driver and she's tiny. The Bosch 18v feels a little lighter.

Bosch, Makita, Milwaukee, DeWalt (or Festool if you want to light your money in fire) are all good, there isn't going to be a huge difference between them. If you don't already have a couple of batteries for one of them its probably a good idea to go by a Lowe's/HD/hardware store and see what feels best in your hands.

There's always YouTube reviews if you're interested in in depth reviews, but you have to watch out for sponsored videos if you go that route.

They've held up well and are plenty powerful (especially if you're doing light DIY stuff and not driving lag bolts into deck supports or something).

I have a 12V set of Dewalts that I like. The power isn't top end, but they're more than enough for most tasks.

The new 20V drills and drivers are not much heavier- they've significantly reduced battery size in recent years.

Yeah, my 20v drills/drivers are significantly lighter than the old 18v ones I have lying around, especially if you add a battery. Those 18v batteries were huge.

I just purchased the Milwaukee drill/driver w/bits etc from Amazon. My husband always said Milwaukee was good quality, in fact I bought him their sawzall years ago for Christmas per his recommendation.
