Yeah we already were doing that with Dispersion and Ice Block. As a moonkin I was even skipping out on a 3rd stack of Inoculation unless it was right next door, to use Barkskin each time.
The only thing we could've done better was to assign spots for spores, I think, to cut down on the running, but a lot of spores didn't really have excessive running to begin with so I doubt we'd get that extra 10 seconds of dps we need out of it even so.
I'm kinda just hoping we skip him next week and either try Rotface, who by then we should have a decent amount of experience on from 2 weeks of 2 10 man groups, or I suppose the Blood Council will be available next week? Then the following week we can come back for Festergut with two weeks' extra loot on us. That or we get a raid with perfect attendance. :p Had one Mage this week that used to play a ton but hasn't for the past year, so is behind on gear and current theory, doing 4k, and a... half Prot half dps I don't really know what he is warrior doing 4.5k. But since we only raid twice a week it's pretty hard for us to find dedicated raiders that attend regularly, so that isn't really a bad raid for us to begin with. :p
I said he would be nerfed, and I don't think a small nerf is unreasonable (though Blizzard nor Sony back in EQ ever made small nerfs... ever), but I'm beginning to think Blizzard intends to let that Icecrown zonewide buff that eventually will show up be the nerf. I am kinda mixed on this. I think the idea is fine: better guilds have more of a challenge, while guilds tangibly worse than mine will eventually be able to kill the bosses on normal (as guilds like mine aren't behind by much, and a month or two of gear will make Festergut into a joke fight even without the zonewide buff). I do think it's problematic though, if all of the remaining bosses are Plagueworks+ difficulty, because I don't see that zonewide buff coming til the end of February? That's a long time off yet. Maybe we can go back to ToGC25 and actually help gear up there, though... hrm... :p Like I said we're doing way more dps then we were when we first beat Beasts25 hard, so by this point it should just be shaking some rust off when it comes to positioning during worms and whatnot and I don't think it should be that bad. Tank gear increases should make Gormok less RNG. How I hate thee, melee + Impale + Impale dot + war stomp thing he does lining up so near one another!
