Can I get a clarification?

Because this is in response to Mus' joke about the president being clearly full of **** because his skin is brown. Is it ok to be racist on the board, but not ok to call people on it? I mean, making a joke about the color of someone's skin is pretty clearly racist. If that's not a problem for the board, please let me know. He went on to make a joke about lynching, as well. Is it not ok to point out how inappropriate that is?

No, I didn't say you should stay silent. I said so what if you're offended. Why do you insist on reading in things that aren't there? It's like listening to my daughter describe how kids at school end up in an argument over who is whose friend on myspace.

Address the factual aspects of the comment. Is Obama's skin brown? Why does that matter? etc. You being offended isn't really a discussable point. Ok, so what?

When you do make attacks on <whatever>, I don't address it by saying I'm offended, I point out how you're incorrect.
