• Nov. 18, 2009: While clearing the roads for Vice President Joe Biden’s scheduled appearance on “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart,” two police cars collided with a livery cab at the intersection of West 49th Street and 10th Avenue. According to the New York Post, two officers and the cab operator were taken to a hospital for treatment of back and neck injuries.

you're blaming Biden because the police clearing the road in advance of his visit had a car accident?

Cheney actually shot his hunting partner. Someone else had an accident and Biden wasn't even on the scene and you're comparing the two?

If you see Vice President Joe Biden's motorcade coming, you best get out of the way for your own safety. In only the past week, three separate accidents have occurred involving Biden's squadron of vehicles.

According to the Secret Service, a New York City police car working ahead of the VP's motorcade collided with another vehicle Tuesday night. Biden's car was not involved, but two police officers and a cab driver were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

On Monday, a sheriff's vehicle escorting Biden's motorcade in Albuquerque was hit by a car that went around two units blocking an intersection. A sergeant in the vehicle was injured.

Lastly, a Maryland man was killed last week when he was hit by two Secret Service cars - a limo sometiems used by Biden, and a Chevrolet Suburban used in his motorcade. Biden was not in either vehicle at the time of the accident.

While I laughed and made serious fun of Cheney at the time, and still think he's an evil idiot; hunting accidents aren't exactly rare.

I'd wager far more of us have had car accidents than been in hunting accidents though.

Make sure you get that Cheney Shield up.

This isn't really called for. Hopwin started the Biden/Cheney comparisons, its in the title of the thread. TheRiov is just responding to the initial post.

2) Even if the comparison hadn't been made, someone would be bringing up Cheney. People complained about the Clinton Shield endlessly when Bush was in office, but apparently it's perfectly ok when it's reveresed.

I understand. So to deal with the perceived threat of a Cheney shield, the strategy is to premptively attack their defenses (Cheney shield) and then immediately raise your Clinton Shield? Then, distribute propaganda justifying the attack on the Cheney sheild by pointing out that your Clinton sheild was attacked in the past.
