you know.. looking through this thread, really looking at the music contained in here... we all put a bunch of crap on here. Myself included obviously.

It may be good right now, but which ones if any of the music in this thread will be remembered 400+ years from now?

None of the music of today has the staying power of Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, Strauss, etc.

And it would not surprise me if in 400+ years they still know who these greats are, but Bob Dylan, Fear Factory, Bob Marley, Cradle of Filth, Grateful Dead, Metallica, Neil Young, Marilyn Manson, Maynard, hell even Les Claypool will be nothing but a forgotten thing, with no one mourning its loss.

Or... humanity could go the way of Idiocracy/Demolition Man and the Oscar Mayer weiner jingle could become the national anthem.

The OP was favorite of the moment, not lasting legacy. Doesn't something ever just hit for a few weeks? My favorite classical piece is "Canon" by Pachelbel
