I've grilled them, they came out pretty well.

You get them from Trader Joe's?!

I've gotten them from TJ's before, but this time I'm gonna try one of the Korean markets around here.

Cool, probably pretty tasty. The marinade is actually pretty easy to do - soy, sugar, chili flakes, etc.

Huh, here's an easy one. Looks like a lot of folks use some kind of fruit juice:

Quote:
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
1 tablespoon rice wine
1 green onion
Pinch of black pepper
1/4 kiwi, juiced


Stop, you're making me hungry. Almost time to start grilling in earnest.

I have no recipe's to offer. Just wanted to throw this out there.

In Hangul Kalbi (kall - bee) literally translates to mean 'short ribs'.. or at least to mean the cut of meat that a short rib is.
