In the future, could the moderators please refrain from taking a potshot with personal comments just prior to locking threads? These petty remarks do little but inflame other posters who now have no recourse, and bring into question the real reasons the moderator has for locking the thread. An example of a non-inflammatory remark would be Mook's in the thread he locked.

In the future, could the moderators please refrain from locking threads in which they are intimately involved in the discourse? Such an action, once again, highlights the moderator's personal biases as a reason for taking action rather than relying in board policy.

Thank You

Moderation is at best - useless, and at its common worst it has a degenerative effect on the board.

We usually try to delegate to others if we're directly involved. I'm sure there have been times we havent though, so, noted and chalk this up to human fallibility. Nobody is perfect, other than me of course. And the Hypno-toad (all glory).

Yeah, it's pretty out of line to end a discussion you've been involved in with a snide barb and no chance for someone else to respond.

Still, I'd love that ability
